Keiji was the BEST tour guide ever. He messaged us before the trip and asked us what we were interested in doing and he provided a recommended itinerary which he said we could adjust. He was super attentive to our questions and was very knowledgeable. I am SO glad we did this day tour. I would highly recommend it!

We are in our late 70’s and wanted to learn about the history and culture of the Japanese people. We were concerned about the heat too. Upon sharing this with our guide Yuri we started our adventure. She immediately produced an umbrella to shield my wife from the sun.
Our guide took us to the Tsukiji Fish market. Until a few years ago it was the central fish market of Tokyo where the daily 5 AM auction of tuna took place. Today it is made up of hundreds of smaller markets of mostly fish, meat & agricultural products with a lot of gift shops for souvenirs. We had a few samples of dried squid and wagyu beef.
We next stopped at The Shinto Temple which was built in 1659 to protect against the crashing waves of Tokyo bay. Their belief is that God is in every single thing - so images are built even to eggs, plants and other cultural icons.

The Tokugawa Shogun family garden was a great place to visit- created in 1654 is representative of the feudal lords of the Edo Period. It is the only garden with a seawater pond.

Our next visit was the subway and a trip to the The Sensoji Temple - it is a Buddhist temple with a history dating back to 628. It was completed in 645 but destroyed by fire and wars but always restored.

We’ve never been to Japan before but really enjoy learning about the people and society around the world. We are in our late 70’s so we’re concerned about the impact of the hot weather. We shared those thoughts with our guide Yuri. She was most understanding. She brought an umbrella to shield my wife from the sun and hailed cabs to limit the longer walks and guided us in the subway system. We couldn’t have done it without her.
We left the day with a better understanding of their religious traditions, saw a number of Temples, went to several gardens and spent time together at the fish market. We tasted several delicious delicacies and took time to stop and enjoy the views and culture at a very measured pace.
Being with her was a most enjoyable experience. We highly recommend her as a guide.

I thoroughly enjoyed my tour of Tokyo and cannot say enough of how wonderful my guide, Keiji, was.. He planned a beautiful day which included tranquil gardens and historical temples as well as introductions to many other bustling and diverse areas of Tokyo. It was so great to have such a knowledgeable guide to explain the history and culture of the area and I loved not having to worry about getting lost or having to figure out the public transportation on my own. I highly recommend this tour. My personal highlights were the Meiji Jingu Gardens and the Asakusa Shrine and shopping area. I also enjoyed lunch in Shibuya and the Tsukiji fish market. Thank you, Keiji, for this amazing opportunity to enjoy and learn about Japan in my short time in Tokyo.

We had an exceptional time with Hitomi in Tokyo with two days of tours through the city with our family of four including two kids, aged five and 14. When we asked our kids what their favorite part of Japan was, it wasn’t the countless gashapons or the Pokémon center, it was our tour with Hitomi! She tailored a fantastic personalized itinerary for us in two days where we got to accomplish everything on our wish list, including visiting a handful of shrines and historic sites, visiting the Pokémon center, eating street food in Tsukiji, shopping in Harajuku for clothes for our teen, navigating and getting comfortable with the subways and trains, walking the Shibuya crossing and so much more all the while keeping our kids engaged and providing an education on the Japanese culture. She even made sure that we are lunch at places that were friendly for our dietary restrictions. By the end of the two days, Hitomi was a part of the family and our five year old daughter kept asking the rest of the trip “why isn’t Hitomi coming?”. Highly recommend!

Kaz is great and highly recommended guide
When you book, Kaz sends WhatsApp communication about what your interests are….art, cultural, architecture, shrines, markets, etc, then you pick 4 options to see (shrine is a must see for any interest).
We also did local Japanese sushi lunch (also worth the experience)
Highly recommended for a great Tokyo experience.
