IMPORTANT NOTE: It is impossible to visit all the monuments that Sintra has in just one day. We are more than happy to tailor the itinerary to match your preferences within the 8hours duration of the tour. The typical day is visiting 1 or 2 palaces & gardens inside and engage with the rest from the outside. With the driving and lunch break, that will be a long, fulfilling (and awesome) day.
Also, comfortable shoes and a spare jacket are recommended in Sintra.

Our Sintra tour with Fred was absolutely spectacular! He is incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and very funny! We could not have asked for a better tour guide. Transportation was seamless and it saved so much time since we could skip the lines with him at the palaces. He accommodated all of our needs and went above and beyond! Fredrico does the most marvelous tours. I’ve spent at least 12 days on tours with him. I am American but meet up with my Aussie friends and Portugal. You’ll never find a better tour host than him and his colleagues. He made this Travel spectacular.

This was the best private tour we have ever done. Our host, Frederic, was extremely knowledgeable on history and architecture of Sintra, as well as having brilliant local knowledge of the area. He deftly shepherded us around Sintra, thoughtfully catered to our needs, and was a very charming, friendly and enjoyable companion for the day. His assistant, Carolina, was also very kind and thoughtful. Highly recommend.

We enjoyed our private tour. Our guide was on time and enthusiastic. Would encourage him to maybe determine clients interest in the site visited. When asked about Knights Templar involvement he seemed unaware. It doesn't matter what profession you are in always important to beware of your client.

Everything about our day with João was outstanding - well, except for the weather which no one could control! He was very prompt, accommodating, and knowledgeable, brining us to the places we really wanted to see in Sintra. João has a good sense of humor which made us feel like were traveling with a friend. The vehicle was extremely comfortable besides. Highlights were walking through the historic center of Sintra and grabbing a Sintra Pillow, going to the "Initiation Well," and then late lunch on the coast at a fantastic restaurant. It was a great day. I highly recommend this company and tour!!

avoid all the lines. totally worth the price. went to 4 different places and meanwhile learned a lot history of Portugal.

Margarida was such a personable and great tour guide!! We had wanted to explore Queluz Palace despite not being listed and she was more than happy to take us (and was great about asking us what our priorities were). Unlike other tour guides, she walked with us to some of the sites (rather than just dropping off) and provided historical context and things to look out for as we explored on our own. This was such a nice surprise and the right balance of “explore yourself while still having a guide” for our group. We had asked her for local restaurant recommendations around where we were staying and she was super accommodating to find us something she thought we’d like. Overall I would strongly recommend this tour!

Margarida was a great guide for our trip to Sintra. She has a very bubbly personality and was happy to chat with us about any topics we were interested in.
We went to the Pena Palace which was crowded but we managed to see everything, and then to a little-visited former Cappuccin Monastery where we were the only visitors. Magical!
