The tour was excellent. We saw everything we needed to see. Our tour guide nazir was excellent. We had 2 groups. The second tour guide was Nara. And she is too new and really said nothing. Everything else was top shelf. Pick up communication ahead of time and drop off.

There is no good experience except frustration. We only went to two shrine - Golden Pagoda & a Shrine near the bridge. The tour guide is a Vietnamese, a student who has just been in Japan for a year. She does not have a clue about Kyoto. It was a very disappointing shore excursion. Now I am not sure if I will ever booked with Viator again. But we were not the only one that was disappointed. We talked to some passengers, just like us, they were disappointed with their experience. You should change your travel agents that you work with in Japan.

Our tour guide Joy and driver have been very helpful and supportive, as we travel with our aged mother who has difficulty walking fast and to maneuver steps. Joy will preempt us on the terrain ahead and provide recommendations on the most convenient and yet least disruptive route. We felt very relaxed and at ease throughout the day trip despite the crowds at the various tourist destinations. We travelled at our own pace and happy that we managed to cover a few important sights within the short duration.

Nice people -
Driver didn’t speak English but was very helpful. The guide (Mae) spoke very good English but had no or little local knowledge and was ineffective as a guide - effectively a chaperone not a guide - Mae was very disappointing

Houssami and Naoya were the best! They were very attentive to our needs as we were a group of 10 with 1 senior and 2 kids. The itinerary was flexible and we had fun the whole day. Highly recommended! ^_^

It was a rainy day for our Kyoto private day trip. However, Shinji our driver and guide was very helpful, polite and accommodating in attending to our requests. He bought us umbrellas and took us to places which still was magical despite the rains. We were a group of 11 including several elderly persons and one who was wheelchair bound. His suggested lunch place was a hit with our group with the automated delivered Japanese dishes on the sushi train belt.
Shinji also took us to Nara (deers and Todai-ji Temple) and Osaka Castle on another private day trip. The weather was perfect then we al had a good time. Lastly, he helped to provide the transportation to Shin-Osaka station from our hotel for our big group and luggage for the Shinkansen train ride to Tokyo.
We very highly recommend Shinji and will not hesitate to use him again if we visit Osaka.
