It has been three days since we had a trip with Diogo around Lisbon. We have referred to what we learned from him many, many a times a day and wish we had recorded him! I can’t imagine our visit without what we learned from him.

We traveled with Diogo from Esséntia da Latitude for a private tour of Lisbon Highlights. We could not have been more pleased. The half day was filled with learning and visits to many significant locations. Diogo was focused, articulate, and flexible to our interests and needs. Vasco was the best! He was very kind, patient, and very knowledgeable about Lisbon and Portugal.
He also has the ability to make you feel very comfortable in a foreign country where I believe many of his guests have never been.

We had Vasco as our guide and what a great experience. First of all this was just your own private tour. He made you feel comfortable from the minute you meet him. We were never hurried, stopped leisurely for chocolate drinks ( cold for my husband and hot for me ), went to all the important stops and had a great history lesson of Portugal and civilization. Really our conversation went everywhere and Vasco was knowledgeable on every topic you can imagine. The whole day went by and we just immersed ourselves in this great cultural experience. He went above and beyond being just a tour guide. My phone battery died and the codes for our apartment were in it. He helped us find a hotel to charge this close to our rental place. And it all went without a hitch. A moment of panic was averted. We couldn’t thank him enough. If you have to book a tour in Lisbon, this is THE ONE!!! And ask for Vasco. You will be very thankful.

I have taken private/semi-private (family) tours around the world. I have also been to Lisbon before. I had a free afternoon and booked this private tour with Diogo. What a treat. Starting at the top of Lisbon, ending at the Tower of Belem with a tasting of Pasteis de Belem and 5-6 stops in between. Diogo was pleasant, knowledgeable and very interactive. I got a look at Lisbon I could not have done myself. I enjoyed it and learned a lot! Worth the price and 4 hours. Highly recommended.

Diogo Soares gave us a wonderful half day tour of Lisbon. I can’t say enough about what a kind and thoughtful man he is.
Also, his knowledge of the complicated history of Lisbon knew no bounds. My husband and I love history and he was able to answer all our many questions.
He was a wonderful driver too, which means a lot in a city of heavy traffic and tiny winding streets.
I highly recommend Diogo for your visit to Lisbon. It’s a beautiful city with friendly helpful people , delicious wine and food and beautiful architecture.

Vasco is the best tour guide I have ever had and I travel globally. He is very thoughtful and took good care of us. He doubles as a historian and photographer. Our guide Vasco came early to pick us up, took us to various sites, and told us interesting stories. He was kind and accommodating to our 7 year old daughter. The best part was that he was very experienced and knew so many people everywhere we went. He is one of those warm people that can strike a conversation with anyone - coffee shop owners, museum attendants, porcelain painters, bakery workers, other tourists. Our day was full of interesting conversations and encounters!
