Cave Walk – a less adventurous tour, fine even for those who suffer from claustrophobia, no upper age limit 2.5-3 hrs private Cave Walk into two caves, both paved and equipped with artificial lighting. The first cave is the ”underground flower garden” of Budapest because of its charasteristic mineral concretions (cave corals, calcite plates) and gypsum crystals. The other cave has calcite and barite crystals and calcite plate deposits originating from former hot-water lakes. Stalactites and stalagmites can also be found there.
Please note: this is a private tour for small groups with English guiding. The caves can be also visited on a lower price by joining the regular Hungarian guided tours (usually school groups or families) that starts hourly.

What an experience! I really enjoyed this trip. It started with 3D movie about the caves and some geological facts and data. Peter ( I believe this was the name)the host was very knowledgable and interacting with a group of 7 people. The experience was fascinating: to walk through the caves, hear the history of it and climb the ladder up through narrow cave passage which lead you out of the cave.

Caves are amazing to see and our tour guide was very good. There is a lot of walking and climbing stairs so anyone looking at doing this wear appropriate food wear plus bring water/snacks

Very good. Wear non slip shoes as the floors are wet and if you dont like ladders maybe think twice

The guide was super nice and even gave us a great recommendation on where to go to after the tour had ended. The caves were very beautiful. Would definitely recommend! Tip: bring something warm like a vest with you cause it’s cold.

Me and my boyfriend went on our second day in Budapest and it was such a good decision! We had an amazing time the tours were well organised and was absolutely worth going with the private group for English speakers, our tour guide was Peter and was very friendly and happy to answer all questions, amazing views of the city when we exited the caves and the caves themselves were breathtaking!

The guide was very informative and funny, I can’t remember his name but he made us feel safe and reassured throughout the walk. There were some steep steps and a lot of walking between the 2 different caves so make sure to wear walking shoes and clothes you don’t mind getting a little bit of mud on
