We had the BEST time on our tour with Alex. Truly could not have asked for a better day. Started the morning with a beautiful van ride to a church and small village - then went to a winery and tried 3 port wines - then had a lovely lunch which included wine and dessert - then a beautiful cruise in a private boat on the duoro river - then another winery where we tried 3 more port wines. We saw incredible views, got many photos, enjoyed the company of our guide and the other 5 people who joined our group. Absolutely would do this tour again (especially if Alex is leading it)!

This tour is absolutely worth the money! We wanted a private tour and this was exactly that. We joined another small group throughout the tour but it never felt too crowded. Alex was an incredibly warm, thoughtful tour guide. He was very informative and stopped us at beautiful viewpoints. Lots of wine and would definitely recommend this tour!

Great tour! Alex was THE best tour guide as he explained the history and culture so well. He was patient and funny. The smaller tour was a great experience and I feel that I learned more :)

Alex was amazing! I was iffy about the boat at first but it was one of the best parts of the experience. We went to two wineries and had a tasting of both port and table wines. Definitely recommend!

Ana was a fantastic tour guide. Very fun and informational. Drive was long but had fun stops along the way and plenty of photo ops. Both wineries were great and lunch had a wonderful view.

Ana was an amazing guide for our private full day wine tour for our family of four. She is incredibly knowledgeable about the Douro Valley and its history. She was patient, kind, professional, and a fabulous driver on the small roads of the (steep) valley. Confession: I’m very nervous on the narrow winding streets of a mountainside but Ana was great, and I was largely at ease… which says a lot!!!
We could not have asked for a better fit for our family (kids 21 and 19 years old). Ana arrived early for our 9am pickup time, but we were running little late. She kept us on schedule without us feeling rushed.
There were plenty of opportunities to take amazing photos of the unbelievably gorgeous landscape and the managers of the vineyards we visited were excellent communicators and explained much about the specific grapes of the region and their rich history (some of which we already knew from Ana).
Our lunch was delicious and included a traditional Portuguese rice and duck dish that was fantastic, even picky eaters will enjoy.
Our riverboat cruise did not disappoint! Pascoal and team were lively, fun, inviting and knowledgeable about the history of the Douro Valley and provided a very nice Port wine with beautiful and tasty pairings.
Overall, Ana was fantastic, and I would highly recommend her to my most discerning friends. Thank you, Ana, for a wonderful day and the memories that will last a lifetime.

We were picked up at 8:45 as planned at our airBnB in Porto. Ana was ready to go and so accommodating.
Along the drive to Douro, Ana provided helpful insight and historical context about the region and the winemaking. We stopped in Amaranth first to tour a church and have a coffee.
Then on to two vineyards with lunch at the second vineyard. Ana arrange for the clouds to break so we had nice sunny May weather.
While we had plenty of tastings, Ana kept us safe, informed and secure.
Highly recommend this personalized experience with Ana!
