Seoraksan National park was designated the 5th national park in Korea in 1970 and chosen as a nature preservation area on November 5, 1965 Also, internationally recognized for its rare species, Seoraksan is the area in Korea to have been designated as a Biosphere Preservation District by UNESCO in 1982.

Superb private tour with our excellent guide Kim. We got the cable car at Mount Seorak, and then a short hike for brilliant views of the mountains and whole area. We had a nice lunch in a local restaurant in Sokcho, beautiful city on the east coast, and had some time to explore this very scenic area. Highly recommend this tour for a day out of Seoul to experience the natural beauty of South Korea with a very friendly and knowledgeable guide.

The tour was great! Mr. Chansoo Kim has a warm pleasing personality that I’m sure other tourists will appreciate. He was very accommodating and helpful in describing the sites that we visited. He assisted my dad when climbing the peak of Seoraksan, for which I’m very grateful.

Fantastic trip
The temple was on a cliff over the ocean
Monks were there praying and the temples and grounds were magnificent
Then went to my seoraksan went up on a cable car then did a little hike beautiful scenery saw an incredible Buddha statue
Ride was 3 hours from Seoul but the scenery is so spectacular you do not want to miss anything
Our guide BJ was excellent
Excellent English speaker and very knowledgeable and helpful

Great experience - very nice views and good local lunch (grill). Our guide Benny told us a lot about the tour and even more about Korean and culture. I recommend this day trip.

Alfonse was a great guide. Excellent english and so knowledgable about all things Korean. Learned so much! . We enjoyed a wonderful hike on Mt.Seorak and a superb meal and visit to Sokcho. A fantastic day trip. Thank you!!
