In this Tour you will get to know two of the most interesting Wine producing regions of Portugal: The Douro Valley and the Vinho Verde Region!
The Douro Valley almost needs no introduction, being the oldest Demarcated Region of the World (1756), which was considered a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2001. This is where Port Wine was invented and still is king, but Douro DOC Reds and White are really standing out too.
On the other hand you have the Vinho Verde Region, a place that started getting popular much more recently with this type of wine that surprises and amazes on the first sip by its refreshing acidity, floral smell and frutier taste. You cannot miss this dynamic duo!

In short, this tour was one of the highlights of our trip. All three wineries we visited were beautiful and had wonderful wine, and our tour guide Filipa was just fantastic. We absolutely loved it. Great communication from the tour organizer who sent us the itinerary ahead of time and encouraged questions.
One of our group did have a little issue with lunch (not a fan of pork or octopus) but the restaurant tried to accommodate. As with most of these tours that include lunch, the menu is limited, just an FYI, but this is common.
As a side note, one of our group left their hat in the car, and Filipa did her best to reunite us with the hat.
