Visit and learn about two essential places in Madrid in one morning. We will start the day with a full visit to the Royal Palace, a gigantic building symbolic of the European monarchs, that will surprise us with its rich decoration and the number of rooms and halls it contains.
After a walking guided visit the main iconic places of Madrid between the Royal Palace and the Prado Museum, we will finish our journey with with a 90-minute tour of the Museo del Prado, seeing its most outstanding rooms and paintings. Special emphasis will be placed on the paintings that have in one way or another changed the history of art and become universal references. We will get to see works by Murillo, Velázquez, Goya, Rubens, and Tiziano among many others.
All of these visits will be made using points of preferential access, with official guides and with entrance fees included. This way, all that you have to worry about is enjoying Madrid and its beautiful monuments.

Meeting place was confusing and didn’t write clearly (Pl means Plaza, who would know that? ) Royal Palace tour was cancelled, refunded just over 1/3 of my payment, instead of 1/2 they were promised.

Our guide, Amu, was extremely knowledgeable and provided great details and history both at the Royal Palace and the Prado. And the walking tour was an added treat.

Marta was great! Very informative and answered all questions. Gave us bits of historical information that you would not typically see in a history book

The tour guide did not accommodate slower individuals in the way to the Palace and we could not hear the audio. The pickup point was difficult to find.

Palace is awesome, masterpieces at the museum are beautiful and the guide was excellent. Also there are some places in rhe city such as Plaza Mayor, Puerta del sol and others we passed by while moving from Palace to museum. Don’t miss this one!

Prado is incredible. Perhaps the best thing was our guide has a lot of classical art knowledge. It was unfortunate that there wasn't enough time to enjoy more of it.

I enjoyed the Royal Palace. Our guide was very knowledgeable. I do believe that Viator, as a company, needs to be more upfront about distances walked and accessibility of the tour to disabled persons. I have struggled to find information about the tours in that type of detail. It makes it very difficult to book appropriate tours for myself and my husband who is disabled. My husband did not go on this particular tour but there was an 83 year old on the tour and he and his wife struggled to keep up with the guide. My husband would never have made it. A person could not push a wheelchair or manipulate on a walker on this tour.

The palace and El Prado are magnificent. This is not the issue. Our guide may have lacked experience and it appears the palace had overbooked. Conclusion, we had a "skip the line" ticket (not cheap) and we were waiting in line for one hour when the members of the group started making pressure on the guide to put pressure to get us in. She was insisting we had to stay in the group line when some members of the group found out that most groups waiting did not have a time slot while we did. She went to the entrance and they finally let us in, one by one through the security check that takes for ever. Feeling short of time, the guide rushed us through the visit. We were not informed that transport was not included in the transfer from the palace to El Prado. The walk for 45 minutes at least so we took a cab who got stucked in traffic. We arrived late for our time entrance and once again, were rushed through the visit. You may want to use a different guide agency if you plan on making this visit. I have traveled a lot around the world on almost all continents and never saw anything like this. A very disapointing visit.

Must do for first-time tourists in Madrid. Our guide Marta was personable and knowledgeable. Quick view of the Prado is sufficient for most. Real art lovers could spend an entire day or day.
Only complaint is that it was a very long day of standing. Lunch was a quick grab from a convenience store; a longer break would have been great.

The Royal Palace was extraordinary and our guide was knowledgeable and accommodating. We were unable to complete the tour because we spent energy walking/ searching for the "Meeting Point." The Prado location was also a 2 mile walk from the Palace....not easy for 76 years olds, especially with another tour to come. Our cab driver dropped us as close as possible, but the office was not located on a street. Very difficult to find! Viator needs do be more specific in it's directions to meeting points as well as the distances between the venues.
