We had a great experience with Guido who provided us with great insight and historical perspective to the great attractions and masterpieces at The Prado. It was an overview but we so enjoyed his passion and knowledge and left with a greater understanding, appreciation and knowledge of art in general and Spanish art in particular.

Incredible tour!! My daughter and I had a private tour with Jaime. She was an art history major working in the art field so could truly appreciate Jaime’s deep subject knowledge. His passion and enthusiasm for Prado’s many works made this tour our best ever. Jaime’s deep dive into Bosch and Goya’s works would never have been the same with an audioguide or as part of a large group. He answered every question perfectly. I would highly recommend this wonderfully professional, warm, and gifted guide anytime you’re in Madrid.

We are very happy we splurged on the privately guided Prado tour. Our guide was Jaime and I can’t imagine a better guide. His English is perfect and he was extremely knowledgeable. He presented the information in a digestible way that art novices could understand and truly appreciate. It would have been overwhelming and tiring to visit the Prado on our own but he made sure we were able to see everything we wanted. He was accommodating in building the tour around what interested us. This was our big splurge of the trip and it exceeded all expectations.

Our guide Angel is a art history professor and his expert explanation of the art in the Prado, and yet weaving into his presentation, a brief history of Spain within the time period spanning from Velazquez to Goya (not forgetting Bosch, Titian & Rubens), was masterful and more importantly, so interesting. We had a wonderful time learning about art and history. Apart from that, he was full of information regarding places to go to and to eat. Thank you very much, Angel!

Guide was very knowledgeable and also knew how to avoid the crowds. Pace of the tour and the amount of information provided at each stop was just right.

Guido was fantastic. I enjoy art, but can have a limited attention span with museums. He made it fun and entertaining, he is very passionate about what he does and beyond knowledgeable

We did not receive meeting information. The local number to call was not working. I contacted Viator and they were also unable to contact the tour company and told us to go to the museum, no one was there. We have not received a refund.

The Prado was magnificent and our guide Carlos had a wealth of knowledge regarding the art and the history behind the art. Carlos guided us for 2 1/2 hours through the ‘must sees’ and ones special to his heart. I can see next time trying to do a two hour tour, half hour lunch, and then two hours more as it was all so interesting and phenomenal. Viator never disappoints!

Carlos was a fantastic guide. Very knowledgeable, friendly and passionate about his home town of Madrid. His English was excellent. The queues are always long for The Prado but we managed to skip through the line for those who had tickets that saved us a lot of precious museum time. Tip- when arriving at the Prado make sure you join the correct queue. We saw people lined up to get in who didn't have tickets yet, and were turned away. Over our three and a half hours together we learned so much about the famous Spanish artists and their relationships with the ruling families. Carlos tailored his explanations to our level of knowledge and interest. I would not try and visit here without a guide.
