1. Ponte D. Maria Pia
There are six magnificent bridges that join the two banks of the Douro River. Have fun on the Six Bridges Cruise and get to know them! Classified as a National Monument the D. Maria Pia Bridge is a railway infrastructure that crosses the Douro River, connecting Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia. Designed by Gustave Eiffel, it was once the largest iron arch bridge in the world and is considered one of his greatest masterpiece.
2. Ponte de Dom Luis I
The Ponte Dom Luís I is a true icon of the city of Porto and a marvel of 19th century engineering. The Dom Luís I Bridge spans the River Douro between Porto on the north bank and Vila Nova de Gaia on the south bank.
3. Ponte da Arrabida
The Arrábida Bridge is an arch bridge that crosses the Douro River, connecting Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia. It was built in 1963 as a response to the increasing flow of traffic and the need for alternative connections to the old bridges. At the time of its construction, the bridge had the largest reinforced concrete arch of any bridge in the world.
4. Ponte de Sao Joao
The São João Bridge was built to replace the D. Maria Pia Bridge, another iconic bridge in Porto. The São João Bridge has become an iconic landmark in the Porto skyline and an important transportation link between Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia. Interestingly, during the construction of the bridge, archaeologists discovered the remains of a Roman road and a medieval shipyard on the site, providing valuable information about the history of the area.

The Freixo Bridge was inaugurated in September 1995 is a road bridge that connects Vila Nova de Gaia to Porto, over the Douro River. Of all the bridges connecting Porto to Vila Nova de Gaia, the Ponte do Freixo is the one that is furthest upstream from the Douro River.
6. Ponte Infante Dom Henrique
The Infante Dom Henrique Bridge, also known as the Infante Bridge, is a road bridge connecting Vila Nova de Gaia to Porto, over the Douro River, in Portugal. Named in honor of Infante Dom Henrique (He was the main promoter of the Portuguese expansion, the so-called ''Portuguese Discoveries''), he was born in Porto, it is the newest bridge connecting Porto and Gaia.

Good tour, definitely worth the price once we found it, however the address given was not accurate; we spent a lot of time trying to locate the dock and there are several boat operators there and no signage for this tour. One vendor looked at our ticket and sent us across to the Gaia side. It was a gorgeous walk, but please let people know which ticket vendor to go to, that is, Tomas Do Douro on the Porto side, there are a few booths. I have added a photo.

Wonderful views but the wind made it a freezing experience. It was also unclear of where to go to check in when arriving at the Quay as well.

A total waste of time. One line of commentary for each bridge and that was a fact that most people will have known from primary school. The bridges aren't even that interesting.

Had the shortest wait time, nice outdoor deck with an interior covered section if it starts raining. 15.00 Euros if you purchase directly at the dock.

A quick tour that gave us an idea of where different things were in Porto & Gaia as well as enjoying the Douro. Easy to book online, the meeting spot was a little confusing.

On a river boat that motored down and back under the six bridges that cross the Douro River. Seating 30 or so in seats on the open air front of the boat and a similar number in the central covered area. Pleasant atmosphere on the water with views of the city. 50 minutes on the water.

This was a very good tour. Lots of information spoken in Portuguese and English to share with most guests on board. The tour guides were professional and accommodating. Would definitely recommend.
