We scheduled this tour at the beginning of our stay in Porto and were glad we did. Mayumi was a fantastic guide and took us to a number of places where we sampled traditional food and wines. She is also quite knowledgable about Portuguese history and explained the origin of the foods we were sampling. Our tour ended with a delicious lunch at a local restaurant. This small group tour (there were eight of us) was the perfect size and allowed us all to interact easily with Mayumi. She was an engaging guide and made our tour both interesting and fun. Highly recommend!

Maria was amazing, the Porto market was so clean and cool, we could have spent all day there. At the end she took us to a store that was a real surprise. I won't kill the surprise, but just say a totally unique delivery of food. We loved the whole tour and feel like we are friends with Maria. Absolutely awesome!!!

We just returned (5/11/24) from our first trip ever to Portugal. Our experience in Lisboa was AMAZING. Carlos and I are soo happy that we chose Vera as our With Locals guide to introduce us to the food, culture and Lisbon experience. It felt like we were touring the City with a long time friend or family member who was excited to introduce us to the places, the tastes, the smells and the people who they know and love. Right from the start, Vera greated us with such warmth, hospitality and excitement for her City that you simply could not help but allow yourself to be completely caputured by the spirit and vibrancy of the City. Get ready to walk, eat and drink....did i mention eat?!! Be hungry when you start the food tour because by the end of the tour you will be completely stuffed with the biggest smile on your face. Also, you will have ample opportunity to purchase more of what you have sampled and trust me, you WILL purchase items for yourself and to give as gifts when you arrive back home. This was an experience that we will always remember fondly but honestly, it was 100% because of Vera. You really don't want to miss this food walking tour because it will open your mind to tasting and trying new things that you may not ordinarily have an opportunity or courage to try on your own!

We had an incredible day with Maria! She was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about Portugal and the culinary experiences it offers. We loved every stop she arranged for us and bought half of the Portugal along the way! 😃 We had to get a suitcase while on the tour with her😂. Maria is the type of guide we greatly enjoy; the food tour with her was more like walking around with a friend and experiencing a gastronomic extravaganza!
