What we enjoyed the most was the Aveiro canals. The boats were comfortable and our guide, Alex, was very knowledgeable. He entertained us as well as informed us with history and current information. The 1 hour ride was easy and our guide, Pedro, gave us some pertinent information about our destination. We have already recommended this tour to other hotel guests.

Good excursion to Costa Nova (with its colorful fishermen's houses and salt flats) and the fairytale city of Aveiro from Porto with a good guide who introduced us to the vagaries of these two corners of the Portuguese coast. In Aveiro we enjoyed the gondola or "moliceiro" tour through the canals with another very fun guide (Álex). It would have been nice to have left more time to see the city well, because in just 20 minutes you can only see one side of the canal. In the other, apparently, there were a lot of typical restaurants. All in all, a tour that helps contextualize Portugal's fishing tradition.

Fun, informational, easy travel. Arnesto was great. Costra nova was just a quick stop for pictures, which was fine. Got to see more of Aveiro. Lovely half day trip.

This was a pleasant day out to Aveiro, the Moliceiro Cruise was reasonably informative and the seafront houses were picturesque. But it was a long way to travel for such a short experience.

We thought we had booked English speaking tour but there were Spanish & Portuguese on board so everything had to be translated 3 times. This was very annoying , especially as some people talked loudly over the other translations. We were told to use toilet facilities only available in a cafe at this time of year at Costa Nova as there would not be an opportunity before the boat trip in Aveiro. We had just 35 minutes in Costa Nova and spent the whole time queuing for the toilet. Very disappointing. Boat trip was ok.

We enjoyed our walk along the row of old fisherman houses in Casa Tipicas da Costa Nova and seeing the bright colors.
Our boat ride on the Moliceiro was refreshing and informative as was our walk around the town.
We loved our guide Maria Lucas!! Her enthusiasm and knowledge was phenomenal, great personality, and if she gives you a recommendation for a nice restaurant, take it!!
We had a great meal at a place she told us about!

Aveiro was super cute and we loved Costa Nova. The reason we gave this 4 stars was bc there was not nearly enough time in these areas. This tour should be a 6-7 hour tour vs 4 hours. The boat ride in Aveiro was nice, but took up most of the time and was really just a ride around the outside of the city… the town and shops were cute and fun and we wanted more time there. We only got about thirty minutes at Costa Nova- we would have LOVED to spend a couple hours at the beach… but all we were able to do was run and put our feet in, then leave! Cute places though, if you have the time, you should check them out.

We signed for English speaking tour and ended up in dual language one. We wouldn't minded it, but the guide spoke 95 percent of the time in Spanish. We didn't get any valuable information about the cities. The tour guide was neither knowledgeable nor pleasant.
