Although tasting and learning about port was excellent, the most memorable thing about this experience was meeting people from around the world. Our guide, Alex, was fun and knowledgeable . The tour is unofficially divided into smaller groups of no more than 18 by age. We appreciated being with others near our age rather than with rowdy 20 year olds. The port was delicious!!! This tour was well worth the time.

Veronica was a great guide. Lots of fun and had wonderful stories to share and history to tell. The port houses were a perfect trifecta for comparisons..

Alex was our guide. Very passionate and enthusiastic with a clear story about:
- the port with its history / commerce / marketing.
- difference and the origins of Porto and Gaia
- French wines and port
- Social life and customs in Portugal
- politeness / friendliness / respect of Portuguese
He was interested in his group, knew all the names within 5 minutes and knew the answers to all the questions.
The tastings were well explained. In short we had a perfect experience. And now know more about these delicious drinks. We got white and red port everywhere, but there was also a rose port.

We had a very interesting tour with the tour guide Kevin with three different stops. At each stop we were given interesting details about the production and tasting of the local port wines. The wines tasted very good and we had a lot of fun! We'd love to go again!
