This was a great way to get to see Port Arthur and soak up some extra into on the way. I wasn’t particularly excited about the clifftop walk that was on the agenda but actually I loved it . Port Arthur is amazing but be aware it is a big site with a lot to read so give yourself plenty of time. One version of this tour includes a visit to the devils - this is a good option if you aren’t super interested in convict history. If you are a nerd like me though you need lots of time at Port Arthur! Save the furry devils for a different day.
Our guide was Heather and she was exceptional - very knowledgeable and efficient.

What a fantastic day. Brilliant photo opportunities throughout the day. Port Arthur was informative and confronting all tossed into one day. Could have easily spent 2 days to see everything. Trevor our driver and tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. A great day out.

An excellent day trip from Hobart. Our tour guide was cleary passionate about early settlement topics and kept me and my partner entertained for the whole trip. A very accommodating experience for a variety of opportunities with the Lavender fields and Unzoo as an option for a little extra cost.

I took this trip on Wednesday 16th of August and while this was my second time in Tasmania, it was my first time going to Port Arthur. The itinerary for the day was packed that started with getting picked-up from my hotel in the mini-bus that was going to be our vehicle for the day. So there was no time wasted going to a central hub and transferring before going on.

We were taken to the start of a 45-minute walk that would include the Devil's Kitchen and the Tasmans Arch. We were also given the option to take shorter walks, but everybody on the trip opted for the full 45-minute walk. I am not the fittest person around but even for me the walk wasn't too bad and the view along the way was well worth the effort.

After that some of the tour went to the UnZoo to see the Tasmanian Devil, one person went to a lavender farm and the rest were taken directly to Port Arthur. I opted at the last minute to go to the UnZoo and I was able to upgrade for an additional $20, which is less then the UnZoo entrance would have been had I bought tickets directly. The UnZoo was well worth the trip because the concept of the UnZoo means that the experience is almost like visiting a tranquil bit of forest. I enjoyed it very much.

We spent an hour in UnZoo and were then taken to Port Arthur where we had 3 hours, including a 20-minute harbour cruise. I really enjoyed the harbour cruise plus the site itself was very interesting. I would like to go back and take my time exploring. But this was a good taste of the convict history of Australia.

Finally, we ended that day by visiting Richmond Town. It was very beautiful and having visited many English villages, I appreciated the transplanted quality of it. I am glad it was a place that was preserved and not just allowed to be torn down.

Our guide was great. Full of stories and knowledge. The trip was very comfortable with enough breaks for food and other amenities. I would definitely recommend it to all who want to see a bit of Tasmania without driving themselves!

This day tour was wonderful. It had a good range of activities and the lovely Tasmanian land and seascape were breathtaking . Port Arthur was exactly what we thought it would be and more.Would have liked to get to Richmond earlier as shops were closing just after we arrived
But all in all a great tour.
