Pompeii archaeological ruins are famous worldwide for being a unique example of a two thousand years old city frozen in times and the first ever documented natural catastrophe in history. This city was covered by the ashes of a sudden eruption in 79 a. c. and it remained untouched up to the XVIII century when little by little it was brought to light. Excellent knowledge of the area and the background. Guide was patient and knew to hit the highlights even though we only had a short time together.

The guide was helpful and knowledgeable but seemed distracted by her phone and phone calls. She didn't seem prepared - asking us as we were starting what we wanted to see. That seems like a question to ask well in advance of the moment the tour starts so thought could be applied as this is a place 3/4 of us have never been. Mainly, it was nice to have a private tour without the hassle of a group.

Our guide for Pompeii was Carmine and he was excellent. He was very knowledgeable and engaging and answered all of our questions. Our teenage kids were fascinated with the facts they learnt. I would 100% recommend this guided tour!

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our tour of Pompeii with Romolo! He was incredibly knowledgable and engaging. Very friendly and offered to take family pictures at perfect spots. Really brought the ruins to life and gave us a vivd sense of what a thriving city this was.

Paolo gave an informative and entertaining tour of Pompeii for our 3 generation family of 7. We enjoyed his stories of growing up near the ruins, his passion for the site and its preservation, and his linguistic anecdotes. The tour was all the better because Valentina of Yellow Sudmarine was able to arrange the tour on very short notice. We highly recommend Paolo and Yellow Sudmarine.

We did a phenomenal walking tour of Pompeii (2hrs). Informative and detailed, and we got to see at least one example of pretty much everything. Our guide Giusy spoke flawless French and English. Competitive rate when compared to other companies. Highly recommend!

We highly recommend this tour with Valentina. She was a very knowledgeable and personable guide. She organised our driver and our lunch. We had a marvellous day being driven down from Rome and walking through the ruins of this city with some very insightful commentary from Valentina.

Visiting Pompeii was a highlight of our stay in Italy. Valentina was the perfect tour guide. She was very informative and was able to cater for adults to small children, and kept us all engaged. It was an extremely hot day and she made sure we were in the best positions to avoid the heat as much as possible. She even arranged our transport from Sorrento. By the end of the tour it was like she was a member of the family, it was sad to say goodbye. If we ever find our way back to Naples we will definitely use her services again. Maybe a pizza making course. Highly recommend.
