Pompeii is undeniably the most important archeological site in the world.
An entire city perfectly preserved just like it was back in 79 A.D., when a tremendous eruption of the nearby volcano Mt. Vesuvius buried it under a deep layer of ashes and lapilli.
Pompeii is very different from any other archaeological site in the world. There are ancient ruins in Rome, Greece, Egypt, Central America and other wonderful places on the planet, but in none of those except for Pompeii you can still walk down the original ancient streets and find them as lively as they were back then. You can walk in the same houses people lived in, in the same temples they prayed in and be in the same places they worked in and they had fun in. You can even still see the tracks of their carriages left on the road surface; the pipes the drinking water ran into; and last but not least, the “petrified” bodies of the victims of the eruption.

It was a bit disappointed that the tour operator texted me 2 days before the tour predict no other participants for our tour and advised us to switch to a private tour with another additional payment of $60. Including requirement to buy our own entry truckers, it costed us much more than planned to visited the attraction “Pompeii Ruins”.

Francesco did a wonderful job. He made an amazing place even more interesting with his explanations of the sights. He had an informed answer for every question we had. Not to mention, he gave us great advice about other places to visit in the area. I will choose his services every time I bring a group to the area.

Francesco is simply amazing! He’s so knowledgeable and fun to be around. He made our trip to Pompeii so memorable! He did an amazing job of explaining everything we saw during the tour. He took the time to really give us an understanding the beautiful ruins.
I highly recommend booking with his company. 10/10.

Francesco lead us on a fabulous tour of Pompeii. He is extremely knowledgeable and made the whole experience fun and educational. He was so kind and went at our pace. We never felt rushed or that we were missing anything. I would absolutely recommend Francesco. Thanks for a great tour!

Today Francesco was our guide and exceeded all our expectations with expertise and knowledge. Ranging from ancient Roman architecture to the aftermath of Mt. Vesuvius’s eruption, Francesco communicated his knowledge on Pompeii in a way that we all understood.
Francesco also has an outgoing, humorous and friendly personality, which made this tour an enjoyable experience.
When we visit again, we will ask for Francesco!

We did the Vesuvio with Gabriella Parlato and in the afternoon Pompei.
We were a big group and were impressed by her knowledge, friendlyness and patience with pupils.

I have worked with Francesco and his colleagues on tours of Pompeii, Herculaneum and Naples, and they are always first rate. I am a tour operator, and I am selective about my partners. Francesco is the top in my book: very knowledgeable, conscientious, so friendly and a great sense of humor. His tours are enlightening and entertaining.
