Carmine met us and got us in quickly. He took us along a route that avoided a lot of the big crowds. He was friendly and very informative. Was very aware we had 10 year twins with us so planned the time accordingly and well spent. My only complaint would be he didn’t take us to the glass display cases where the human skeletons are (the kids really wanted to see that) and by the time I remembered about them, we were already at the exit. I guess I should have brought it up earlier. We all learned a lot

The tour was great, and the guide very well informed. He paced it well as the weather was unusually hot. Many unique details of pompei, it history and people were shared, things not in any of the guide books.

Carmine was great, he was informative and the entire family found the tour informative and entertaining. The teenagers commented that it had been one of their favorite tours while in Italy. The tour was just enough to get a good overview of Pompeii, but not too much that left anyone tired or bored. Seeing the huge group tours in lines and just staring at things with little commentary made me thankful for booking this private tour with Carmine.

Alona was our guide and we couldn't have been happier. She was extremely informative and knowledgeable. I'd give her 10+ stars. The trip was worth every penny. I couldn't imagine doing a tour of Pompei on my own. So much history that needs to be told.

Carmine was the best! He met us at the car after a long drive from Rome so we could get a bite and use the restrooms and then gave us such a knowledgeable tour of Pompeii. Then he contacted our driver so that he met us as soon as we walked out. We could not have asked for more.

Brilliant tour of Pompeii with Carmine and Herculaneum with Sylvia. Both fountains of knowledge about the areas. Next time we will ask for the hidden parts tour - 2 hours is not long enough to do everything!
Carmine was amazing at organizing everything we wanted, including parking advice and sneaky routes around the crowds!

Excellent 3 hour tour guided by Angela who combined great expertise with real enthusiasm for her subject. She was considerate and delightful and we can highly recommend her. We learned so much, obviously about Pompeii, but also about local history and culture. The legacy of the people of Pompeii clear lives on. Really worth having a tour to get the most out it your visit.
