When we arrived at Pompeii we were offered to "upgrade" for 10 euros each to have a tour guide. Unfortunately, the tour guide was not polite, would not answer questions, was arrogant and we could not understand him. Wish we had just done the tour, as planned, alone together with the audio.
We did really like seeing Pompeii.

Great tour. Easy to find by train station. Wish we had more time. I would definitely recommend at least 4-5 hours to see everything. We only had about 3 and saw maybe half. Also if traveling with a backpack, there is free luggage storage at the gate.

The audio guide was poor quality and was difficult to hear on the device-when picking up from the agency service was poor-rushed and rude….were keen to up sell walking guide and when declined just threw audio device into counter ….

Pompeii was mind blowing. However, the audio tour was completely useless. Neither map provided matched the audio device. We were unable to use any of the audio or maps provided, and had to use our personal phones for Google Maps. Definitely felt that they were pushing us to purchase a guide for a higher price, once we arrived. Do not recommend the audio guide tour.

The audio guide often didn't work and the map provided did not show any connection to the audio. Very frustrating experience from an experienced traveller.

Pompeii is a place you need to visit at least once in your lifetime but, i wouldn't go back. You walk or you are standing during all the time you are there. Nowhere to sit and only one expensive place to eat. Definitely not a walk in the park!

Great buy. When walking to Pompeii, go in to red building, first floor for audio set ans tickets. It's om your right hand side before getting to gates of pompei

Audio device ran out of battery an hour into a 2 and a half tour. Guide was great but It would have been better if device was fully charged. Device was for my son, had baby written on it. I gave him my adult device. He enjoyed the tour.

We bought a skip the line tickets and audio guide in advance not knowing what the crowds would be and with a limited timeframe. After finding out that entry to Pompeii was free that day and finally finding the travel company with the booking we received the audio guides that had no headphones and were not compatible with Apple headsets. The audio guides were unusable. Pompeii on the other hand is absolutely amazing and worth visiting! We could have just seen it for free that day instead of over $100 for something we could visit for free. If the Travel service knows its free that day but still charge in the booking it seams misleading.
