Henri the taxi driver was a very pleasant person giving us tips on what to see even outside of Naples. This as we had already seen quite a but for the past 3 days.

Our guide Josephine was excellent. Clear, factual and helpful. But the meeting point instructions given to us before arrival were totally wrong. After walking for half an hour we had to ring in and after a lot of arguing the driver came and collected us from the place we were at and took us to Pompeii. The guide Josephine told us the meeting point given to us was wrong. We wasted about 45 mins trying to get picked up.
The trip was expensive and we expected better treatment. Don’t think we will be using you again.

Our group of 6 was picked up promptly at our hotel and driven in a comfortable van to Pompeii where we met our tour guide. Paolo has a great personality and, as a resident of Pompeii with a background in archeology, shared his passion and extensive knowledge of the ruins and its history. We had a really fun time (Paolo shared some great stories and tidbits) and learned a lot; a small private tour like this is definitely the way to go and our tour guide, Paolo is the best!

Fantastic tour , it stated out with our driver picking us up at the hotel. Early ready to go and full of cheer! Then he talked to us about the region drove us to the site. Our tour guide Romolo was brilliant in every sense of the word. First he assesed what we wanted to see then adjusted his tour. His family was multi generation from the region and he shared great stories. He brought the history to life so vividly. He said and I quote think of me as tour friend Ill answer any question and Ill even take pics if you like. The tour was a 10 oot of 10 and I highly recommend trying to find #Romolo

The enthusiasm of Romolo our personal guide was the best aspect of our tour. He was great. the coordination of Viator precluding the actual day of the tour was outstanding. Touring Pompeii was a bucket list item for me for many year, and since I am now 73, this was to be the last best chance for an actual tour of Pompeii. This visit was an add on to an already planned spiritual pilgrimage to Sicily and Rome with my church and I decided to add on an independently planned visit to Pompeii. Having a personal guide for just my wife and I was definitely worth it.
