We had the best time with Bruno and the Joe Bananas tour of Sorrento with a lemon grove/restaurant experience and Pompeii. They were communicative and prompt with pick up, the van held our group of 7 very comfortably and we will never forget the gorgeous sites along the Amalfi Coast. The lemon experience and lunch were the highlight of our 11 night cruise, learning about the famous Amalfi lemons and participating in a lemoncello making followed by an amazing lunch. They were also very accommodating with the gluten allergy within our group.
It was very hot and we were nervous about traffic so we requested a shortened "highlights only" tour of Pompeii and they delivered a great condensed version.
We would absolutely recommend this tour to friends; and we wouldn't hesitate to use Joe Bananas in the future.

We had a fantastic day, Antonio, our driver provided a ton of insights on the various locations we traveled by and to. He frequently stopped at appropriate lookouts to allow us to take photos. He even took photos of our group. The vehicle was fairly new and very clean. Water was provided. We visited Sorento then Positano. We had lunch at a great restaurant that had a commanding view of Positano. We then made our way to Pompeii where our private guide walked us through the ruins explaining the architecture and customs of the local population. Antonio then returned us to our pick up point in Naples. All in all a fantastic day.

What a fantastic tour! We were able to enjoy the Amalfi coast at our own pace. Our driver was knowledgeable and stopped for shopping and to meet local vendors whenever were requested. He was professional and did a great job with those crazy roads!

We enjoyed this tour with our driver, Luca. He was a gentleman with a great sense of humor and provided a lot of knowledge about his county. We enjoyed the Amalfi Coast ride, Sorrento, Positano and lunch at a little hideaway restaurant. The food was great and service was great as well. Very authentic experience.
We then went to Pompeii where our tour guide, Paulo joined us. He was great to spend the time with in the City of Pompeii. We enjoyed his company very much.
I highly recommend this tour and this company.

We were met at the cruise port of Naples by our tour guide Christian. We were a group of 8 people (NAP012)and we thoroughly enjoyed the tour. He showed us Positano and Sorrento with free time for shopping! A trip to a limoncello factory with tastings was informative. Christian was a passionate and knowledgeable guide with an excellent sense of humour. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch, authentic Italian cuisine at it's best accompanied by delicious Italian wines. In the afternoon we visited Pompeii with a guide named Michael who educated us on the history of Pompeii and showed us the hi lights of the archaeological site. We also enjoyed singing in the bus notably Dean Martin's "Mambo Italiano". A truly memorable day. and highly recommended.

We had an amazing tour with our driver Rosario. He was great fun and very informative. He took the time to stop and buy us a bottle of the real homemade limoncello from a roadside stall which was really yummy. We learnt so much about where to go and what to do around Italy, he was exceptional.
Our guide Pier Paolo took us through Pompeii and was also a fantastic tour. One of the best days we have had in Italy. Highly recommend.

Our guide, Antonio, was a true delight. His knowledge of Sorrento and Positano was extensive. He was open and fun and we connected with him immediately. Spending the day with Antonio is just like spending a day with a family member. He showed us many of the highlights of Sorrento and Positano which is absolutely beautiful. JBL arranged a private guide in Pompeii and it was one of the smartest decision we made. We learned so much about the history of Pompeii. The lunch that was arranged was truly amazing, Italian food at it's best.

An experience of a lifetime. Our group of five, loved this tour (JSAL001, From Salerno, All inclusive Tagliata) with stops in Sorrento and Positano on the drive to La Tagliata for lunch. The view from La Tagliata is breath taking. The food and service was amazing. After lunch we toured Pompeii with an excellent local tour guide. Our driver for this tour was very competent, friendly and professional. We highly recommend Joe Banana Tours.

We booked this tour as a port excursion from our cruise. Antonio was our driver. He was very friendly and on time. We were a party of 5 (2 Adults, 3 teenagers). The drive to Positano and Sorrento is very beautiful. If you have a problem with motion sickness I would definitely take your meds before going. We didn't hit a ton of traffic heading to Positano but the drive is about an hour. there are a lot of steps you have to navigate on this tour. if you are not in good health then this tour will not be for you. I've wanted to visit these 2 cities for years. They are indeed beautiful but I have to admit I was a bit disappointed that it was really just a shopping stop. Be prepared for a lot of ceramics, linen clothing stores and souvenir type items, all overpriced. The locals try to rake in their yearly income over the 4 months that this beach town is open, so their are not bargains. Our next stop was Sorrento. We stopped at the city shopping area where we walked the shops of more moderately priced Lemon items, ceramics and clothing items. You can find better prices in Sorrento at these shops. My boys were not really into the shopping part but they did enjoy seeing all the fun pastas and foods. From Sorrento city center we drove high up into the mountains for a pre paid lunch. The drive seemed to take forever winding up into the mountain but it was a great local place. The lunch was fantastic. We had five different appetizers and 5 different pasta dishes. Wine and beer was included and dessert was followed by a Limoncello shot. After lunch we made the 20 minute drive to Pompeii. It was very nice having tickets paid for already and guide included. We did not wait in line to enter. Our tour was about 2 hours and honestly I could have stayed a bit longer. We hit the highlights and the Pompeii guide was very full of information. Truthfully, it was our fault we didn't spend more time there. We wanted to make sure to give ourselves plenty of time to board the ship before sailing. Overall, I could have done without the long drive to Positano and spent more time in Pompeii but that Almafi coast drive is something to see and experience. In all the day was long but fantastic. Don't expect a lot of tidbits and information on your way to Positano or Sorrento. You're really paying for the transport back and forth. The drivers are safe and you will be grateful when you see how close some of those tour buses come to your car. Yikes!

Everything about this excursion was absolutely wonderful! Our driver, Luca met up right at the pier after we got our our cruise ship. He drove some crazy roads and took us to see some amazing places, the highlight being a restaurant on a cliff overlooking the sea. It is probably one of the most amazing sights I have ever seen! Pompeii was very interesting and it was so amazing to have our own private guide. She made it so much more fun and interesting for our 11 year old son. Luca was an absolute joy to have as a driver and he made this trip so much more amazing! I would highly recommend this company for anyone on a Mediterranean cruise. The only regret I have is not using them for other excursions throughout Italy.
