1. Pompeii Archaeological Park
I study archaeology and I have been a guide in Pompeii for 27 years: I still cannot believe how advanced Romans were! You will be surprised by the size and at the amazing state of preservation of the archaeological site. We will visit the Forum, ancient public baths, private houses, taverns, shops, theatres, and more. We will admire fabulously preserved frescos and mosaics that adorn the walls and floors of the ancient houses. We will walk at your own pace and I will make sure that everyone in your group understands what he is looking at. We will stay away from crowds as much as possible. The itinerary is flexible and I shall adapt to your will and needs.

We will take a rest at a beautiful winery in the National Parl of Mt Vesuvius. Once on the bay of Naples, we will drive a bit on the Mt Vesuvius to reach this organic wine farm. It is a wonderful setting overlooking the Bay of Naples. There will be a short guided walk to the vineyard to discover this unique land and how they produce their “Lacryma Christi” wines. It is beautifully located and it is going to be a fun experience. Lunch consists of a pre-set menu: Appetizers: Bruschetta, ricotta cheese, olives, provolone cheese, salame and capocollo cured pork meat Main: Spaghetti with the cherry tomatoes “del Piennolo” from Mt Vesuvius Dessert: “Pastiera” - wheat and ricotta cake Along with lunch over 5 different wines will be served (Rosè Sparkling, White, Rosé. Red, Red Reserva, sweet Dessert Wine). The cost is € 28 per person that can be paid on the spot with a card or cash. There also is an upgraded version of the wines for the cost of € 35 per person.
3. Vesuvius National Park
We are not going to climb up to the crater of Mount Vesuvius. We will visit a small organic wine farm. The farm lies within the National Park of Mount Vesuvius. It has wonderful views both on the Bay of Naples and on the volcano. We can take a short wine tour and have a delicious lunch. It is going to be fun and delicious! Do not miss this unforgettable experience!
4. Parco Acheologico di Ercolano
The Ancient Roman city of Herculaneum was buried by Mount Vesuvius 2000 years ago and it came back to light during the last century. We will admire stunning views of the Volcano and of the Bay of Naples. We will learn what happened during that terrific eruption. We will visit ancient houses, Bath-Houses, little shops, taverns. We will enter the daily life of the average Roman. We will admire incredible frescoes and mosaics. We will be awe-stricken by the dreadful skeletons! We will walk approximately two hours to discover the archaeological park and the little museum. Herculaneum is more compact than Pompeii, better preserved, and easier to visit. It is going to be a pleasant walk away from the crowds of Pompeii. The itinerary is going to be tailored to your needs and requests.

Fabrizio is the best tour guide ever. He showed us southern Italy on the West Coast covering all the notable tourist sites for which it is famous. He communicates effortlessly and with style and does it with charming grace and sincere warmth.

This tour was great. Our guide Fabrizio was very knowledgeable and personable. We saw all of the highlights and had a wonderful lunch at a beautiful local winery. Fabrizio answered all of our questions and was great at communicating prior to the tour when we contacted him. There is so much to see at these sites that it is really important you have a guide to show you around. I highly recommend.

We had an incredible time with Fabrizio! We spent about two hours at each site and Fabrizio moved us around quickly and efficiently to see as much as we could! I loved seeing the Temple of Isis and he was excellent at relating everything back to what we saw in the Archeological museum in Naples.

It was a pleasure to spend the day with Fabrizio. He was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. More than just a guide. He answered every question effortlessly. In addition, he contacted us ahead of time to make sure that everything was handled. Also, he came prepared and had waters handy. He made sure that we were comfortable and informed. Fabrizio is so friendly, laid-back and knowledgeable (and a perfect English-speaker) that it’s hard to imagine not having a good time.

It was fiercely hot when we went but the complaints were minimal from my teenagers. Fabrizio listened to what we wanted to do and adjusted the itinerary accordingly, moving quickly at first so we could see things before the crowds caught up and then slowing down and cutting bits as we flagged.

We learned so much and had so much fun. Who knew there were (at least) 28 brothels in Pompeii or that the Romans thought up the idea of cats’ eyes two thousand years before anyone else.

Thoroughly recommended!

What a fantastic day with Fabrizio. He is very knownlegable on Pompeii and Herculaneum from his archaeolist background and his years of interfacing with people on giving tours makes the package outstanding. This is so much more informative than wlaking around with a map and brochure. He gives you the insight to the ancient history of the culture of that time.

Our tour guide was Febrizio (from Leisure Italy). He took us on a tour of the Roman ruins at Pompeii and Herculaneum. He was fantastic, and so incredibly knowledgeable. We learned so much! There was so much to see. He customized our itinerary based on our top priorities, but also had some great suggestions for hidden gems and things that shouldn’t be missed. I will definitely be calling him for another tour the next time we are in town.

We planned our trip to Italy around this tour, reading alot and visiting MANN in Naples before the tour. Communication, planning and paying were excellent. Fabrizio picked us up at our hotel promptly and we set off in his comfortable and spotless van. He was a careful and safe driver and used a microphone so we could hear every word.

We saw much more than expected at Pompeii and could move fast or slow as needed. Fabrizio explained what we were seeing, related each location to objects we saw at the museum and translated inscriptions and graffiti as we progressed. He was ideal and answered every question from his vast knowledge. We were very interested in how the water and sewers worked for example and he knew.

We are not wine connoisseurs but lunch was a delicious respite with a beautiful view.

Herculaneum was fantastic also. Fabrizio identified all the VIPs who happened to be around us! He knew exactly what we would want to see, and how to avoid crowded areas.

Our return was exactly on time. We will def tour with Fabrizio when we return to Naples. We do not usually do private tours but this was worth every minute. Grazie mille Fabrizio!

Fabrizio was amazing! Extremely knowledgeable, interacted wonderfully with kids and adults, even with my jet lagged boys. Able to provide rich, detailed explanations to bring history alive. Able to adjust routes through sites on the fly to avoid crowds. Would book with him again without question the next time I am in Naples.
