We were a bit disappointed when our pickup from hotel was changed to a meeting place also seemed a bit pricey since the admission tickets were not included.
Once we traveled to our destination with our travel guide Chris we had a very nice tour of Pompeii with our local guide. She had a lot of interesting details of the ruins and history of events. Also having the headsets allowed us to follow along easily.

I actually missed the tour - I scheduled for my first day in Napoli and I did not prepare well. My bad. But, I rescheduled for another day (the tour was only on one of the days I was in Napoli) and took the Metropolitan train from Piazza Garibaldi, downloaded the app and audio tours and went at it on my own. I think I guide would have been easier, but if you cannot book the tour, there is an alternative and Pompei is a lovely, chill town as a break from Napoli’s energy and grit.
