Worth the long trip from Rome. Just a couple things to be aware of before you go. First, we had the most FANTASTIC English speaking tour guide & bus driver!! (Unfortunately I don’t recall names). In awe of Pompeii! It rained, but we were prepared with umbrellas. Awesome tour guide in Pompeii. Be prepared to move quickly and definitely wear sturdy walking shoes! Very crowded. Truly could have spent an entire day in Pompeii. Recommend getting the pizza to eat on the bus. Traffic delays happened getting into Pompeii as well as in Sorrento, so our visit for Limoncello was cut a little short- still had time for a refreshing drink, photos of the beautiful view and souvenirs. Busy traffic heading into and out of Sorrento. Be aware that the section of the Amalfi Coast you see is the “bay side”. Still beautiful - crystal blue water and Mt. Vesuvius always looming - just maybe not the scenery you expect from the “Sea side”. Sorrento is lovely! And the sun came out! Had time for a delicious waterfront meal and a little shopping. Enjoyed the day, but have to imagine that traffic will get worse as tourist season really picks up.

The tour was NOT as described.
Instead of driving 2.5 hours to the first stop in Pompeii, the company reversed the itinerary without our notifying us, and drove first to Sorrento. Our day began after 5 hours of driving, we got free time when we arrived, where the guide discouraged us from eating and after that drove another hour to Pompeii.
The third party tour in Pompeii was fine, but very rushed and we ended up picking up Pizza to go and eating on the bus at 17 pm, again preventing time to walk around and even eat normally.
The tour guide mainly spoke about food - not much history.
This was very disappointing and not worth the price or time spent.

I really enjoyed this tour overall. Pompei and Serrano was beautiful. The description of the tour highlighted Amalfi Coast. It was not the beautiful part of it which is a little deceptive.

Amazing all day tour to Sorrento and Pompeii. We were concerned about the 13 hour tour however our tour guide (Barbara) and Driver (Antonio) made it a comfortable and enjoyable day. Barbara was our “Mama” because she took excellent care of us. She was very friendly, informative and efficient. Ciao!

I would highly recommend this tour! Me and my friend had a very enjoyable visit and though it's a long day and there is lots of driving, it is 100% worth it! Getting to step back in time in the city of Pompeii was so interesting and a lot of fun, and then enjoying the views of the costal town of Sorrento was priceless. Our driver Julian was amazing, especially for such a long trip, and we felt very safe and comfortable. I will admit it is quite a long day with a 3hr bus ride there, and one break in-between for restrooms, so if you are travelling with young children they may grow restless, but for us it was fine (the bus had air conditioning which we appreciated)! Our tour guide Marie was also wonderful! She was so much fun and extremely knowledgable. We learned a lot about the history of Rome, Pompeii and the making of limoncello! We would recommend this tour! :)

We spent a ton of time on the bus, which makes sense coming from Rome. But the stop from limoncello was not necessary (much better place in Sorrento) and the individual rest stops were too long. We had 1.5 hours in Sorrento and 1.5 hours in Pompeii. Not enough time in either place for how long we were gone. I realize this is a long way from Rome, but the tour did not make an effort to maximize our time in Pompeii or Sorrento. The time in both places was rushed.

This was a fantastic tour!!! Both Pompeii and Sorrento were great, despite the rainy day. Barbara (the tour guide) was knowledgeable, upbeat, and funny. She kept us informed and entertained even during the long drive. I highly recommend the tour. For those in other reviews complaining about the rest stops, we thought they were just fine…large enough to accommodate all of us and the snack selection was delish. There are only so many places a bus of that size can stop and be accommodated quickly.

What a great opportunity to visit Pompeii and experience some of the Amalfi
Coast when time is short and as travelers you only have one day to devote to these sights. Our guide was excellent! Her enthusiasm and love of the region and her job shone through; her knowledge and information sharing was phenomenal! Although it was a long day, we had enough breaks and free time. Would definitely recommend!
