We were there on a windy day so the inflatables were closed. This is what we were most looking forward to, so it was disappointing. We made the best of it and the kids played in the pool, kiddie area, and the other 2 slides. Beach was not that nice.

Great experience for all ages! There were a lot of things to do for everyone. Beach was pretty and staff was very accommodating! Would definitely recommend!

Not enough directional signage. Customer service was minimal. Drink options not clearly visible. No umbrellas or shade direct sunlight. Spa vendors came around too often. Would not book again.

We enjoyed ourselves on our stay at this very nice beach. Our only complaint was the lack of umbrellas. The beach lounge chairs were also very hard plastic and not the most comfortable things to lay out on. The food was excellent (my daughter and I really liked our chicken and steak tacos, plus they gave us a nice portion of guacamole - a lot of places back home skimp on that). We paid a-la-carte and didn't get the all inclusive package. As it turned out, we didn't pay a whole lot less than we would have for the package, although that would have encouraged us to drink and eat too much, which we did enough of on the ship (the eating, anyway) so maybe that was a good thing. The service was very good as well (our waiter was named Carlos, I know, not exactly an uncommon name in Mexico)

There were plenty of lounge chairs, so nobody was left without one, and the beach didn't feel too crowded. Restroom facilities were good. They only had one of the two waterslides open, but probably because there weren't that many people using it (surprisingly we only had to wait behind 3-4 other people at most, and we came in on a large cruise ship excursion, so we thought the lines would be a lot longer). I had a little trouble getting stuck on the slide, maybe it needed to be a little steeper, or have more water, but some others didn't seem to have as much trouble as I did (and no, I am not a big person). The water temperature on the slide was perfect though.

They had some nice shaded areas to hang out in if you got too hot (see the white covered area in the photo, for example) and a nice pool. Unfortunately due to ocean conditions, they didn't have the inflatables out there that day.

The bus ride from the port was a little long (about 1/2 hr each way) but the buses that were provided were clean and comfortable.

A $30 taxi ride to arrive and find out the beach was closed so we could only use their pools which were run down, dirty & full of children. Our tickets were prepurchased so we went ahead. Wrong choice.

Out of all the beach resorts we've done in Cozumel, this one was just gross from the food- about as low quality as the the ships, maybe even less. If you're a hot dog and stale fry kind of family, you'll love this place . We felt it was a waste, terrible Service, watered down drinks. We won't return or recommend. Go to Sancho's for good food, service and a party atmosphere or Nachi for low key, calm relaxation.

It was windy and were not allowed to use various embarcation we paid for neither the umbrella. The water structure are for 8 years old minimum, my 5 years old fell in a hole and was very hard to reach. Kids water park and slides were fine.

Amazing service staff and very clean facility. Buffet was delicious. Kids were a little upset that the water slides were not open.

We had a great time at Playa Mia. We were unlucky to dock in Cozumel during some high wind and overcast conditions so the water inflatables were not available during our trip. We decided to go anyway and so glad we did! It was very relaxing and the staff for transportation and at Playa Mia were very friendly and attentive. It cleared up towards the end of our visit and we were able to go swim in the sea for a little bit which was definitely worth it.

Had a cruise stop in Cozumel & wanted a beach stop with a large group on small budget. Beach has everything you need- food, bathrooms, drinks, beach chairs & umbrellas. Floating beach is very small and long line to get on. Add made it look like large beach inflatables but not the case- small. At 2:00 they said umbrellas needed to come down as wind too strong. The sun was beating down and there was no wind. In fact, the wind had been much stronger earlier in the day. It was clearly a tactic to have people start clearing out even though the beach was open until 5. Many people, including ourselves, argued against this- we had a set of grandparents, the family behind us a child in a wheelchair. People all around were requesting money back from umbrella rental. It really was crazy as when collecting money and putting up umbrellas it really had been so windy. People were really unhappy. It's really close to the port 15 minutes and super easy to get a taxi to and from. Average rate was about $5 per person each way.
