Since it was as January not too crowded. The food was fine. Buffet not a 5 star restaurant. The tricycle was my favorite. Drinks were good. Water beautiful. We purchased the transportation, one less thing to worry about it!

Do not waste your money! For $600.. we had to get our own cabin ( the person was not there to great us)… that cost and additional $40…. Once we got to the resort we where told we could ONLY eat off of the buffet that the menu items where NOT included in our package….

Amazing beach, plenty to do, but renting a beach umbrella is a money making scam. $12 for an umbrella that took forever to be delivered. 15 minutes later they closed them up due to "wind," but it was barely breezy. An hour later they collected them from us. Everyone was upset. Don't fall for it.

This place has something for everyone! Our family ranged from 76 to 4 and we all enjoyed ourselves! Some swam in the ocean, some enjoyed the pool, some loved the water slides. In addition, we were able to purchase a tasty lunch there which worked out well for us.

Of course, when we get there it’s red flagged which means everything is closed. Of course they don’t want to refund you. They don’t want to give you a discount and they didn’t even offer you a free upgrade or anything. I was very disappointed we spent all this money just to sit in a chair And we bought only the beach break which meant no drinks and they would not even let us get water paid $80 for a cab to get there and back from the port. Very disappointed waste of money.

DO NOT go on this excursion! Book your own. Very little water activities, horrible food and you are packed in like sardines. 100 yards down beach the price is cut in half, better water activities, better beach and much better food! We left, paid our own taxi and spent half we would have for what we thought we paid for! Try Fury or Mr SANCHOS. They dont give the cruise a kickback I guess! 20 dollar massage instead of 79!

From the beginning when I arrived I needed change for the taxi. So pick the transportation inclusive package. Right of the top when I went to the exchange to get change I was given 300 pesos for $20 USD. (Exchange Rate at time 17/1) should of been $340. I'm a paying customer. But tips on me. Moving forward, I'm told, can't swim, can't rent water equipment, red flag weather, ocean inaccessible. Not there fault. We'll make the best of it. So there's an overcast, light rain and clouds. So no consistent sun. Food and drink were fair. Buffet style. There's a pool, one swirly slide for kids, and a cold tub for adults that they call a hot tub. Add to that the four times we were solicited for messages. Aggressively. Now there is overpriced non negotiable shopping. This place from cab fair, to exchange, to souvenirs pricing has decided to charge Americans and tourist like we're in America and don't understand how cheap it should be in Mexico. Buy all your souvenirs at Punta Lagosta. Fair price, barter system. I give this a 3 star. Because it's a clean, nice area, with nice people and if weather permitted would have been a fun and great experience. The walk along the beach, and the cold swim was nice.

We did this as an excursion from the cruise ship. Good value for the money. Lockers are $6 (also $6 deposit but you get that back when you return the key). Pools were clean. Beach chairs were free. Blow ups were fun. We did the kayaks and the water bikes- we had a wonderful time.

I was very happy with my choice on the last day of port stops on my cruise to relax at the beach instead of more active sightseeing. I checked in with Playa Mia and was taken by taxi to the beach resort. I got there early in the day but Esteban, a wonderful host, was in front of the beach entrance and remained there throughout the day to answer any questions and offer advice on what shopping was available. The stores opened rather late in the morning but I enjoyed the pool and swimming at the beach until they opened. I loved the free tequila tasting and other products available. There was a nice restaurant with outdoor seating that looked great but I didn’t go. Make sure you take advantage of the lockers available while you swim or hang out by the pool.
