WHAT TO EXPECT

1. Perth
Join us on tour for a day exploring some of the West Coast’s most stunning natural regions. Located only a short drive from Perth, we’ll take you into Yanchep National Park first.
2. Lancelin Sand Dunes
After 1.5 hours from Perth, we stop to stretch our legs and take in the views from Lancelin lookout, home to the largest network of sand dunes in Western Australia. These gigantic snow-white dunes are a stark contrast to the glistening turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean in the distance.
3. Nilgen Lookout
Shake the sand out of your shoes, before we travel on to the Nilgen Nature Reserve. In a region abundant with flora and fauna, we’ll wander through a kaleidoscopic of wildflowers, including the likes of banksias, bottlebrush, heath, grass trees, and kangaroo paws; all bursting with life, when in season.
4. Hangover Bay
If the flowers are in hiding, we’ll instead head over to Hangover Bay, where you can dip your toes in the crystal-clear waters or spot the likes of bottlenose dolphins and sea lions.
5. Nambung National Park
With our lungs full of fresh sea air, it’s time to journey on to the Nambung National Park to witness the remarkable Pinnacles desert at sunset. Made up of shells, the Pinnacles date back millions of years to a time when the land was beneath the sea. Best explored at dusk when the crowds evaporate and the thousands of limestone pillars rise eerily out of the desert; watch the colours change over the rocks, creating a lunar-like atmosphere.
6. The Pinnacles
Enjoy a Picnic dinner accompanied by a glass of local product wine (all included), while we settle in for a spectacular light show of natural wonder, beneath the sky. As the darkness sets, it’s time to marvel at the other-worldly beauty of the stars and planets, swirling high above. Listen to the ancient stories of the Aboriginal Dreamtime and gaze light-years away.
7. Perth
On the way home to Perth, we will stop and take in the wonders of the night sky.

A very easy way to see the desert without too much effort. Well organised with a very informative guide (Danny). I would highly recommend.

I cannot recommend this tour. The bus was old and uncomfortable and didn't provide any storage space for bags nor seat pockets. The first stop was at a gas station; one would expect the bus to be fueled before the tour starts. There was no water or anything provided on the bus. The stop at the Nilgen lookout didn't happen. The "tour guide" didn't provide any meaningful information. The "sunset dinner" consisted of cheap food from a supermarket and was served in a public seating area at the entrance of the park. (We saw other tours that came with picnic tables and chairs and sat among the pinnacles.) The stargazing didn't happen because of an overcast sky; I would have expected a more professional handling of the weather rather than just saying "let's go back to the bus". Overall, we paid US$118 for a bus ride worth US$20, food worth US$10 and entrance fee US$6. No good value for money.

Pinnacles studded all over were very cute creation of mother Nature. Best thing was we visited an hour before sunset. The Sunset view was just amazing. All golden view of sand & Pinnacles. Best to grab memories. Only & major unbearable trouble is innumerable flies brothering all the while till sunset. They are flooding you all over. We had to cover our head, face & neck with a net. Some used some repellent. I recommend to be prepared to avoid flies but don't miss out Pinnacles dessert.

This is very different, it's difficult to see Just what the Pinnacles are made of. So different. It's a site to see. Also don't forget the fly spray. We saw a lot of Australian salutes (fly swatting).

Such an amazing experience! Danny was super funny and an amazing tour guide. The pinnacles were a sight to see and the stargazing was out of this world! Would highly recommend this tour!

The advertisement is a bit overwritten - "Before heading to the Pinnacles for sunset, take in the views of the incredible sand dunes from the Lancelin lookout, take a stroll along the Hangover Bay Coast and spectacular views from Nilgen lookout." We didn't stop at any of this places, when I asked why was told that's just for summer time - well nowhere in the add is about that. The Pinnacles is worth to see but the whole trip wasn't even close to the description.

Day trip to the Pinnacles Desert was a fantastic experience. Had a couple of stops at Lancelin and the Wedge Lookout to stretch our legs, but the highlight was no doubt the stunning landscape and sunset at the Pinnacles Desert.

We had a casual picnic with plenty of food and snacks, and the cloud stayed away long enough for us to do some stargazing (though the telescope did not get much effective use!)

Danny was a great host, very knowledgeable of the region and its cultural history, whilst keeping us entertained with his humor.

Great trip to the pinnacles. Excellent tour guide. Dinner well catered for. Stargazing experience was fairly minimal, light and cloud a factor here. Perhaps a toilet break on the return journey could be included.

The tour was great! We had Erin as a guide and she was super knowledgable and explained all the history of our stops and also made the stargazing super interesting by pointing out constellations. Highly reccommend, even if its just so you don't have to make the drive there yourself.

Pinnacles were beautiful sunset was lovely stars were nice. Dinner was lovely, tour guide was very informative, but it would have been nice to drive in the pinnacles and have dinner watching the sunset at a vantage point which we saw other tours doing- bus was really uncomfortable
