Well worth getting up on the glacier when you visit Perito Moreno! A boat ride and short hike take you and fellow tour companies to the base of the glacier, with a fairly easy uphill ice trek in crampons. Simple enough for my 9-year-old (who had a blast on the ice). Amazing views and a unique experience; guide went out of his way to make the trek both informative and interactive with the group. An excellent adventure for the whole family!

Overall good! Great weather and guides were friendly and knowledgeable. The only reason why it was not a 5 was communication from the local agency was odd. I was able to communicate with them through the help of our hotel’s receptionist in the morning of the hike. The local agency said , the day before hike, they sent email but I did not reply ( I have not receive email from them). Viator was able to communicate with me through email, but the local agency was not able to, did Viator give the local agency a wrong email address? I was also calling the local agency the day before but goes to voicemail ( it was around 3 pm ).

We got picked up in the morning on a coach, and taken to the glacier viewing point. Here you can go on some walking trails to get different views of the glacier. You then get on a to get boat closer to the glacier for whatever your time slot for the trek. You have a safety briefing and then have about 2 hours on the glacier in a small group exploring different parts of it. There is a guide who is very knowledgable of the glacier and advises you of any safety things to consider. You have plenty of time to take pictures. At the end of the tour you have a drink on the glacier which is a very nice, before heading back home.

We stayed in ElCalafte 4 days the trekking on the glacier was the hilight I highly recommend
But note of caution must be reasonably fit for the mini trekking

Seamless execution. Full day (8.30am-6.30pm) tour with everything taken care of. Weather wasn’t great but it didn’t take anything away from the experience. Friendly and communicative guides. Highly recommend

It was an amazing experience! All the program was pretty good. Even though is not cheap, it's totally worth it. From the bus that take you to the national park and the boat that transport you to Perito, we had a great guide to the hiking in the glacier. The are always with you and aware that there are not problems. The hike is just about an hour, but it's incredible to hike that huge Glaciar. It's like your unique experience in the Antarctica. After all the Adventure, we ended our day on the walk views where you can see all the Glaciar from above. We really loved the experience and the day was pretty nice and clear.

Don't miss out on this amazing hike on Perito Moreno glacier! The company Hielo y Aventura is professional and amazing. There are many tour groups to Perito Moreno, but none of them take you to hike on the glacier itself, except this one by Hielo y Aventura. Highly recommend!
