Perfume Masterclass in Florence: Make your Own Personal Fragrance

Horrible experience! Americans of color do not go here. The ladies working there ignored us and made us feel extremely uncomfortable. When we addressed the issue with them they gaslit us and said it’s because we showed up last (we arrived 3 minutes before the scheduled time). We signed up for an English language workshop. They spoke only in Italian and barely translated for us.

At one point, the rest of the class got their items and left and we were left sitting there with no instructions and confused on what to do while the workers started helping customers walking in the store. When I addressed the issue again the woman called me a “Bruta”.

Perfume making workshop is a great business idea in theory. Too bad they were unable to apply it in praxis for us.

The ladies that ran the class are amazing and so friendly. They helped us determine the scent that was best for our individual tastes and educated us about how scents mesh with each other. The shop is so cute and ‘the doctor’ is excellent at making sure the scent you create is acceptable and actually smells good. Highly recommend this workshop, totally worth the money.

Choosing the scents and the help of the owners was wonderful. The mood was friendly. There was plenty of support and the facility was beautiful . It was a great day.

Charming family business. They make an effort to make our experience the best. I didn’t learn much. It was an activity focusing on recognizing scents while socializing.

Really fun experience to do with the people traveling in your group or, if you are a solo traveler. I went alone and had the best time. It was interesting learning how to blend scents. We all created our own perfume and left with a bottle. We can reorder online if we want more. The host spoke English and Italian. Very friendly staff. They also sell perfume from local sources. Worth visiting the shop. Highly recommend.

The class was super fun, learned about the layers of building perfume. My friend and I had a blast, my only regret was that I didn’t bring my friend’s mom with us- she would’ve loved it. I 100% would go again.

Deborah and her staff were lovely. She explained everything very well, and had us creating scents that were more complex than we thought. Very fun and relaxing at the same time.

Really enjoyed this experience. The musicians and tenors were excellent. However, the church was uncomfortably hot, had to request a fan. We were at the back but couldn’t see the dancers! Otherwise would recommend.

This was a really good course as you got to learn a little about perfume making and choose your own top, base and heart notes for your own perfume. The explanation and choosing of perfumes took about an hour and was done fairly efficiently. Then the perfumerie comes around to each person and works out the percentages of the smells to make your perfume. This is the time consuming part. We were there a further 2 hours waiting for our turn and this was wasted time. Hopefully the work out a more efficient way to do this. All in all though, it was a great thing to do and I now have a great moments in the bottle of my own perfume.
