Pearl Island Bahamas Snorkeling Experience and Lunch

When we arrived on Pearl Island went to are to meet Snorkeling staff to begin event. Staff didn't come to work that day. VERY DISAPPOINTING! Sole reason choosing this tour was to Snorkeling. No transportation to return to Nassau to take another tour. Waited 3 1/2 hours in heat waiting for transport back to Nassau. Pearl Island staff did not communicate with tour company that they canceled that event.

First of all, we got to the island and the snorkeling experience was canceled that day… no explanation or anything. They said we were going to be reimbursed but nothing happened. By what I observed, even if we had done snorkeling, not sure if it would have been worth it, as the only allowed area was netted and no fish or other sea creatures would be around.
The kayak and paddle board was also a joke. You can only do it in a very small area!
Nobody told us that we needed cash if we wanted anything else other than water to drink.
The place is beautiful but the experience was not worth the money!

We had a good time. I didn't see that many fish while snorkeling but it was fun anyway. Guy running the snorkeling area told us the plane there used to belong to Pablo Escobar so that was cool :) Food was good too

Súper fun day. We were able to snorkel and saw lots of beautiful fish and sea life! We were even able to feed them. We spent time at the beach and relaxed on the beach chairs. Saw wonderful site of Paradise Island from the lighthouse as well. Lunch was great. Enjoyed the fish and rice. Oh and on the way in we were given a tour of the rich and famous homes on the island.

My friends and I went on this excursion through the cruise ship, super fun time and food was delicious.

Staff was pleasant and the gift shop was very cool.

The island is run down. Drinks are overpriced. Food consists of less than average BBQ buffet.

They have no boats to bring you back. You are a hostage.

First the island is very run down. Two...most of the chairs are broken. Three is beach area is a joke....it is just a small area of sand dumped in an area they call a beach. The snorkeling stinks...30 minutes a couple of fish as you fight a horrible current. Have had better experiences in the Bahamas. The food is just gross and did I mention the RATS running around that are not afraid of people. PLEASE choose another tour. This one stinks!!!

Buyers beware!!!! The shuttle to Pearl Island leaves at 10:30. It is extremely difficult to depart, catch a taxi and get there in time. Very disappointing when your family is left behind, We were not the only family left behind. I do not recommend this excursion.

Beautiful island with plenty to do, but it was very crowded and everything is first come, first serve, which made it more challenging to get a chair or a shaded area. The snorkeling didn’t happen for us because the seas got too rough. They took us to another section, but it wasn’t the experience we paid for.

Beautiful view and beach. The guides were friendly. Snorkeling was a lot of fun. We left in the morning which seems perfect.
