This tour was okay. The park is incredible and a must-see, but our guide was not the best. It seemed like he was bored with doing this particular tour. Disappointed.

Beware - this is a scam!

We booked a guided tour for Park Guell.

The taxi driver dropped us at the main entrance. The email instructions specially said the following: "Meet your tour guide in front of the main entrance."

Turns out it was at a different entrance. Park.Guell does not recognize the tickets and would not let us through the park to the other side.

I called them and spoke to some woman on the phone. We were not the only group who were misled, there was another British couple with us. The woman on the phone said the guide will wait 10 minutes past the time if we can make it there. We got there at 738 for a 730 trip (8 minutes). The guide was gone and apparently had just left. We called back but the woman basically told us "tough luck" even though she herself promised on the phone just 15m before then that if we made it there by 10m past the time the guide will still be there

She lied through her teeth.

Fwiw, their website also states you can be there up to 15m late.

So no tour for us, and no money either. We are filing a dispute but want to make sure you are warned - they are scammers and liars.

Our tour guide was good and knowledgeable. We had a good time. one hour tour was good enough.! Try to book in advance as getting last minute ticket is difficult.

Very good communication on what entrance to meet at. Guide was very knowledgeable and did an excellent job interacting with group and answering questions. Highly recommend tour. Learned a lot Guell and Gaudi! Facts we never would have known otherwise about detail involved in every aspect of this beautiful site!

Eduardo was amazing . So knowledgeable with a great sense of humour. The park is unique and Gaudi a genius .
It was busy but you are wrapped in a big hug with an inner sense of peace.

The worst part of this tour was finding where it starts. Viator's instructions gave an address to report to, but this was well inside the restricted (ticket only) section of the park – both on Google Maps and Apple Maps.

We arrived at the main gate to the park, but were denied admission because we had no ticket (our tour voucher didn't give us access at the gate). We were told we needed to walk 20-25 minutes to a different side of the park to its southeast gate (fortunately, we were early – so we could), but were denied admission there, as well.

We were told to look for a guide with a flag for the tour company, who would escort us in, but we couldn't find this person either. Ultimately, the tour coordinator wound up being in a crowded area 100 feet outside the gate wearing a shirt with a tiny company logo on it and carrying a company umbrella under her arm (folded, so we couldn't even see it, even standing next to her).

It was next to impossible to connect with the guide to get checked in, and we were only able to do it because a park guard at the gate took pity on us and escorted us across the large entrance plaza to where she believed the representative & guide were seemingly hiding.

Viator's directions for where to meet the tour were a disgrace. We'd have completely missed the tour had we not arrived (and been able to walk another 3/4 mile to the proper gate) a half hour early.

Once inside, the tour wasn't too bad. But if you really want to see the park, you'll need to plan to stay for 1-2 hours (or more) after your tour ends to explore further on your own.

Guide was knowlegable, but only spoke in a conversational level to our large group, which was made larger by our assigned guide not showing up. In hindsight, it would have been better to skip the tour and just buy tickets to the park, which was nice.

Excellent tour—very informative and with great pacing. I recommend arriving at least 15 minutes prior to the tour to make sure you are at the right meeting point and find the guide/group. Our guide was holding a white umbrella that says “Golden Tours.” Note: you need a ticket to enter Parc Guell (if you are not a resident of the neighboring properties). The park is very large but the tour only covers the Monumental Zone (about 20% of the park). There are zones for picnics that you could enjoy around the park. Great experience overall, and as you know, incredible views and architecture.

The views from the top of the park were amazing! Very interesting to hear the individual stories and explanations of certain areas of the park which I would not have known if I walked through the park without a guide.
