Paraglide Maui's 1K Tandem Paragliding Experience

Our second experience with Paraglide Maui was as good as the first. I'm a visiting "dormant P-3" (intermediate rated PG pilot who hasn't flown in a while) and my wife likes to do a tandem flight once in a while. So, two totally different needs. Paul's organization is set up to handle either seamlessly. I got around five flights in with the instructor on a radio giving me tips; my wife got an unusually good tandem flight. Note that she isn't in the "roller coaster" crowd, she just wants smooth sailing, enjoy the fantastic views, and that's what she gets. Paul and Peter and Paul catered to our needs with an easy going grace.

As one recent review pointed out, paragliding is weather dependent. Sometimes we call it "parawaiting". So, yes, with any paragliding activity you should allow for some schedule shifts if the winds or clouds are not cooperating.

The guides were great and made the experience very enjoyable. The flight was very short, so we would probably upgrade for a longer one next time. All in all it was a good experience and we would do it again.

My sons and I did the 1K paraglide with Paul, Peter and Paul. They were superb! From the initial meet and greet, to the safety talk/video, we felt truly immersed in the experience. The paraglide was spectacular, with amazing views, `roller coaster experience'. Hats off to Paul/Peter, for an excellent experience. We are sure to try the 3K paraglide during our next visit to Maui -:)

Beyond expectation. Amazing. Exhilirating. Its all about scary anticipation but the actual flight is smooth, calm. Dexter was very reassuring and excellent. The tour service was easy and smooth from start to finish. I booked for 1000 ft but went for the 3000 ft. Would rec the 3k. Peter was very helpful in helping how to get there. We prearrange a taxi by the cruiseship. But now, the ship will provide flagging random taxi stand right off the ship. Peter was so helpful and dropped us off the ship. I can do this again, maybe a new hobby? For a 60+…

It was an amazing adventure. From my first phone call to Paul all the way to my flight with the other Paul, we felt well prepared and cared for.
I recommend doing the longest flight.

Awesome experience! My family and I flew in tandem with Paul #1, Paul #2, and Dex, and we each had our own unique flights. My ride with Paul #2 we were extremely high right under the clouds for several minutes! All of our instructors were very experienced, explained everything in detail, and kept us very safe. We had such a fun time flying. Thank you Paraglide Maui!

Instructors took photo and video during the flight so we can enjoy the flight and keep the memories.

Paul #1 and Paul #2 were exceptional guides in providing excellent information regarding this adventure! I went tandem with Paul #2 from the 6,500 foot elevation and it was incredible! Safety is a clear priority! The views are stunning! Highly recommended!
