Take a 2 hour, 30 minute cruise down the great Mississippi River aboard the Paddlewheeler Creole Queen. Enjoy a narrated tour with a licensed historian describing 300-years of New Orleans history; from the founding of the city by the LeMoyne Brothers to the tragedy of Hurricane Katrina. During your cruise the vessel will dock at Chalmette Battlefield for a 1-hour excursion. Enjoy a guided tour and talk by a National Park Ranger about the battle of New Orleans, while taking in the sweet breeze and delicate waves along the river. Delight in a cash bar and/or a satisfying Creole lunch option available on the boat while viewing the famous French Quarter and Port of New Orleans from the river .

It was a nice experience. Dr. Lauren gave a very detailed history of New Orleans. We enjoyed the trip and leaned something.

Our historic narrator was excellent. Honestly, we didn't expect to enjoy the tour guide as much as we did. Excellent storytelling, very engaging, and not cheesy.

This was my first experience on the Mississippi River. The Creole Queen was a great experience! We were treated to a historical narrative of the Mississippi and some of the surrounding areas as we passed by. Most of the history revolved around the battle of New Orleans during the War of 1812, and our stop is at the national park where the battle took place. The whole trip was just over 2 hours and was the perfect way to spend the afternoon!

Charles is a great history teller, making the story of the battle for New Orleans come alive as you experience the paddle boat tour down river! This was one of our favorite activities of our stay.

I liked the boat a lot. Wasn’t overly crowded plenty of shaded and unshaded places to sit or stand and have a great view. I enjoyed the narration and stopping at the battleground. The best part was the Katrina story. Brought me to tears.

Hands down The best tour we had in NOLA! Our tour guide was Charles and he was very entertaining as well as knowledgeable of the history of NOLA. I was in tears when I heard his recount of the Katrina hurricane events. We had the lunch but everything had sea food and we do not do sea food. We had the vegetarian portion of the meal. The bread pudín was amazing!!
The wind was very strong and cold since it is December. Sit in the back so the wind is behind you. Listen to everything! It is worth it, you will learn a lot about the city history. There is a stop where you will learn a lot about the battle of New Orleans. We bought the profesional picture at a very reasonable price.
