a definite highlight of our time in Costa Rica. the price is unbeatable for what you’ll experience. the river was low, sadly so we were on the Rio Sarapique on day 2 but it was just as beautiful and fun. Eduardo and Luis were our two main hombres and provided top notch adventure, humour, and hospitality. they really know how to cook! spending the night in the jungle was indescribable… we were picked up at our accommodation and dropped off at another upon returning. will definitely do this again with Exploradores Outdoors in the future HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Our guide, Paluchi, was fantastic. He made the experience feel fun and safe at the same time. The Pacuare River is beautiful, full of birds and the rapids were very manageable. For us the water levels were quite low due to recent good weather. The overnight in the Pacuare River Lodge was the cherry on top. Moses cooked us delicious meals, there are two beautiful waterfall pools within walking distance to swim and it is so peaceful. Beds are comfortable and cabins feel cosy but not too hot. The tour company tells you that you do not need a towel but you do on the second day when you finish the rafting to shower so bring one. Also bring a book and something to entertain you in the lodge overnight as it is very quiet.

I did 2 day white rafting tour with transfer from peurte viego to san jose

It was supposed to be 6 hours white-water rafting over the 2 days

The first day we rafted 30 minutes

The second day we rafted 2 hours 30 minutes

I did this tour as it was supposed to be 2 days rafting 6hrs. It was only 3hrs rafting

I am not happy that i paid 300 euro for this trip..rip off avoid this company

We had a great time! Great views and the overnight lodge and food were both fantastic! We learned a great deal about the river and got through some intense rapids safely.

An excellent, professional, experienced and well organised company- all staff, without exception. Brilliant rafting experience too!
The lodge for overnight accommodation was amazing - great food, wonderful views, simple yet good clean accommodation.
Miguel and Yency run a fantastic company with exceptional leadership⭐️
Highly recommended for sure 🇨🇷👏🏻🤩

Pacuare river rafting is truly a once in a lifetime experience and these guys made the trip memorable! We felt so safe and Eduardo took great care of us. The rapids are wildly fun and the scenery is breathtaking. Even the food they serve you is some of the best we have had in Costa Rica! 10/10 would recommend

The trip went exactly as specified it would be by Exploradores Outdoors. Pickup from hotel, rafting, food, guides, etc. The guides were friendly and knowledgeable.

One of the guides took pictures of us on the rafting trip and has offered to send those pictures to us free of charge - this was a special and unexpected bonus we are very grateful for!

Food was prepared by our guide and was plentiful and excellent!

The lodge we stayed in had amazing views of the river and canyon of the river ran through. We were able to observe the rainforest and birds soaring. We enjoyed a brief hike and swim by a nearby waterfall in the afternoon after rafting.

Highly recommend!

One of the most amazing adventures I've ever been on.

The rafting was incredible, neither me or my partner have rafted before, but we absolutely loved it. We were taught the basics, and off we went. Just a short raft the first day, after a good breakfast, down to the absolutely spectacular lodge. We had a lovely lunch and then went off on a guided walk to the waterfall. Wading through water and we had a swim at the bottom of the fall (a few braver folk climbed up the waterfall and jumped in!).

Then back for a lovely dinner and an early night.

Day two started with a great breakfast, and then off for a much longer stretch of rafting, and a break for lunch and a swim.

The lodge is gorgeous, very rustic, shared toilets and showers (sometimes also sharing with very large frogs!!) It's run by volunteers, who were totally lovely.

All the guides were great, very friendly and kept us safe at all times.

The rafting was brilliant fun, we did grades 3 and 4, the river was still a little low as it was only the start of the rainy season, but our guide made sure we were safe and dislodged us anytime we got stuck! There were only 2 groups on the tour, myself and my partner, and a group of four. We had a raft to ourselves with a guide, so it felt like a private tour! We were also joined by a kayaking photographer on day 2, so we are excited to see those photos!

Really recommended, and it was so convenient that we were collected in La Fortuna, and dropped off in Puerto Viejo as it saved us a boring day transferring by car alone!

Also, we're vegan and all meals were served buffet style, which meant we could pick and choose what we could eat (tacos were the highlight!).

Unforgettable experience - Roy and Michael were excellent guides throughout our trip. Some of the best food we tasted in Costa Rica.. highly recommend. My girlfriend loved the additional effort with the birthday pancakes for her 😃

I did the 2-day overnight trip and it was worth every penny!!
Well organized from the beginning to the end.
Great guides with incredible passion for their job ( thanks to Roy& Michael). They knew not just everything about rafting but also every bird, every plant, every animal. Very inspiring!
The lodge for the overnight stay was amazing.
Overall a lifetime experience!!!!
Can only highly recommend it!
