We are in the heart of Famous and traditional Chianti hills with breathtaking views. We are only 18 km from Florence, Fattoria Lavacchio, practice Organic and Biodinamic agriculture in whole estate.
Visiting our vineyards, you will learn about how we care for the grapes as well as our experience as organic and low-sulfite and sulfite-free wine producers. We will also tell you about the history of the Estate, which dates back to before the 1700s and boasts a link to the Strozzi family. Then you will explore our ancient cellars and discover the special requirements and techniques of creating what has been called our "perfect organic" wines.
The tour culminates with a tasting our own wines between natural sparkling, traditional Chianti DOCG and limited Riserva, and our Extra virgin olive oil with a home-baked breads.

This wine tasting was everything I could have wanted! Tatsuhiko was incredibly kind and knowledgable. Wines were delicious, shared with bread and exquisite homemade olive oil. And the views of the vineyard were incredible.

We stayed at the farmhouse (Casabella) and we went horseback riding in addition to doing the wine tour and tasting. This was our second time visiting because we loved it so much...this area of Tuscany is distinct from southern Tuscany. It is extraordinarily beautiful. The air smells clean and fresh. And it is relaxing to just walk on the roads and see the vineyards.

The tour was wonderful and our guide was very knowledgeable, making for a great experience overall. However, there was some confusion when we arrived about our group. We were dropped at the resort and not the farm, so had to trek up the hill (which was unfortunate for some with serious knee injuries) to the correct location. There are also some hills/steps included in the tour, so be wary if you do have any guests with concerns.
We had reached out in advance about adding the lunch w/pairing, which was a delicious selection - the bartender even made a delicious mocktail for our guest that could not enjoy the wine - but we ended up not receiving any tastings during the actual tour, which was supposed to be a part of our tour package. We also didn't seem to have the option to purchase a full glass of wine to enjoy during lunch, which would have helped us decide on any bottles to purchase. Nonetheless, the staff was very accommodating and helpful, and this was a wonderful day trip out of Florence, but we were confused about not receiving our full package.

We had a wonderful time on this wine tour. The vineyard was beautiful! The sommelier was informative and answered everyone's questions thoroughly. He even arranged our transportation back to Florence. Everyone at the vineyard was so friendly and accomodating. The lunch was excellent and we loved the wine!
