Our guide Guillaume did an excellent job taking us to important D- day locations and relating to us many stories of the events of the allied invasion while at the actual locations. His knowledge of the events and people involved is exceptional. There was no question that he could not answer. This was an exceptional tour and I would highly recommend Overlord Tour to anyone interested in the history of WW2.

I cannot overstate how greatly Overlord Tour added to our visit to Omaha and Utah beaches and related memorials. Tour guide Adam was superb. He not only was extremely knowledgeable about the history, he took us to some very moving memorial sites that are off the beaten path. You will not regret touring with Overlord.

Our Guide Valentin did such a good job using his materials to help put every stop in geographic and historical perspective while we stood in the place . He was genuinely interested in the material and sharing the information with the entire group. Normandy was so beautiful and our driver expertly got us from place to place. There is no way we could have gotten to all of this in one day on our own and to learn so much of the events at these places 80 years ago. Very moving day. Moved to tears when another guest thanked our guide for taking such good care of our boys all these years later.

My friend and I were 2 Army retirees who took a buddy trip to visit several European battlefields. We arranged a private all day tour(based on our desired wises) with Overlord Tours to visit Normandy area points of interest. We were led by our guide, David Foulk, who provided us with a wonderful full day of historical information and a great overview of the events surrounding D-Day. Not only did we visit the many famous historical sites, but David introduced us to a few other lesser known areas that gave a more comprehensive view of the events surrounding D-Day and the aftermath. While I had traveled to Normandy many years ago, David added new insights and perspectives of those momentous days. If you plan to visit the Normandy area for a WW2 overview, I highly recommend Overlord Tours and David Foulk.

We were 6 friends on a private full day tour in Normandy D-Day areas. Our guide was Remy. We were picked up in our AirBnB early in the morning and spent the whole day until 18H visiting attractions. During the day Remy gave us a lot of information, facts and stories. We have never seen a guide so engaged and motivated to tell the stories. The best thing was that all historical facts and events were supported by stories about persons, where we heard about peoples experiences and saw photos of the persons. Touching and emotional, really bringing the terrible time alive.
For lunch Remy booked a table for us on a small restaurant, and during all day Remy was supportive and flexible, giving us a life time experience. "I got so much wiser today" was one of our comments end of the day. And we were lucky the sun shined during the whole day :-)

Loved the full day tour as we visited so many of the famous places in the DDay Landings and Battle of Normandy. Thierry explained the history as well as bringing the personal stories to life. A big plus is being able to skip the line at St Mere Eglise museum as the queue is very long and would be impossible to visit otherwise.

The tour was fantastic as was our guide Stephen. My wife & I arranged a private tour of Omaha & Utah beaches, as well as Ste. Mere Eglise and the hedgerows. I have a personal connection with Normandy, as an uncle, my father's closest brother, is buried in the U.S. cemetery at Omaha. I explained this to Stephen, who told us to stroll through the cemetery while he went into the office to try to locate my uncle's grave. We met 20 minutes later with a cemetery employee who brought us to the grave. She expressed thanks to my uncle and all the Americans who purchased France's freedom with their lives, and even took a picture of me at his grave. Stephen and she stood with us for several minutes as I explained some personal info I had about my uncle's death. A very special experience, as I was the first family member to visit his grave.

The rest of the tour was great as well, as our guide, who spent quite a few years in the RAF, took us around various sites, told us of real life stories and made real the military aspects of the Normandy invasion. He also took special care to bring me to the hedgerows, where my uncle died, so we could see how difficult our troops had it. A great experience!

My husband is a history lover and we decided to work a trip to see Normandy into our Paris trip. We are so happy we did! We did the full day tour with Valentine as our guide. He was absolutely fantastic! His knowledge about the history of each of our sites and the events and details that even my husband hadn't heard about were so vast. Valentine is very passionate about history and it really came though in his tour. Valentine was also very attentive to our questions and comfort. This is a very well organized tour and company and I highly recommend them!

From signup and pickup to drop off, the tour exceeded expectations for this very special trip. First, the company is very wonderful and friendly while booking your tour(s) and answer all questions very quickly. We opted for the Omaha and Utah Beach full day tour with pick up in Bayeux.
The pickup area is clearly marked and well organized - especially when the clearly marked vans arrive. Our guide (Valentin) greeted us all warmly and we are off on our day trip. He explained the day very clearly, answered all questions we had when we started off, and then we began our busy day.
Our guide was a wealth of information! Not only did he clearly explain the history and significance of each of the sites he also had some other stories of the areas we were driving through and was beyond prepared to answer our questions. He also had so much passion for the history. We also ran into some of the other guides along the way and they too seemed very friendly and very familiar with the history.
The tour itself is a very special visit to history, especially if you have family ties to D Day, Normandy, and/or WWII. The full day tour was emotional and special and I highly recommend this tour for those who really want to learn even more about D Day and World War 2. The guides put so much into learning about the sites and battles that I recommend this tour for those who want to engage and ask questions. This is more than a site seeing tour - it's an opportunity to learn about history in a very personal way.
I cannot thank the Overlord Tour Company enough for making my visit to where my father and uncles landed between June and August of 1944 the most special first time visit and experience.
