I have taken several food walking in NYC -- and this was, by far, the best one. Greg was so knowledgeable and fun! It felt like walking and talking with family or friends! We learned so much -- and ate even more. Great variety of foods -- and so plentiful! I can't wait to get back to NYC to take another one of his tours.

This walking food tour was amazing. Greg is wonderful. He is knowledgeable of the neighborhood and food. He provided great stories along the way and was well known in the area, so many people said Hi to Greg. The food samples were awesome and plentiful and diverse, with sweets and sandwiches and cheeses. I would highly recommend any tour with Greg, he is a great ambassador for the area.

We wanted to see Lower Manhattan on our latest trip to NYC. SO why not a Walking Food Tour?
We reserved a spot with GregWalksNYC for a chance to see Little Italy and Greenwich Village. What a treat!
The tour started at St. Anthony's church where we sampled the most decadent chocolates while Greg told us about the building and the Italian immigrant families who founded it more than a century ago.
As we strolled thru the neighborhood, we learned the stories behind the storefronts. The market where fresh pasta is made daily...we had authentic hand-rolled meatballs and rich creamy, (Arborio)rice pudding. We drank cappuccinos from a family importing coffees and teas for generations. We ate wonderful lunchmeats and finished with Italian pastries.
When Greg leads the tour you won't get an inside look.you will become an insider.

Greg is the best!! Very communicative with planning (he called us up to advise on if we wanted to take the tour when we were planning to on a rainy day or switch and he slotted us in on a nicer day which was so thoughtful). The tour was quite comprehensive of the South Village’s Italian culture. Greg is super personable and really knows his stuff!! He has 10 years of experience and I couldn’t recommend him more! The food was incredible- Do not miss this tour!!

My husband, young adult daughter, and I went on Greg’s excellent NYC Greenwich Village Italian Food Tour on a Saturday. Since this experience is not just a food tour, but also interwoven with very interesting history, we met on the steps of the beautiful St Anthony of Padua church where Greg greeted us with some brigadeiros from the shop across the street. These are bite-sized deliciously rich and sweet Brazilian treats that he shared with us due to the large Italian community that resides in Brazil. Therefore, the brigadeiros were used as a clever segue to introduce the history of Italian immigration to Brazil, after which we followed Greg inside the church to officially begin our tour. The ornate décor was stunning and the history Greg conveyed was intriguing. Once we left the church we were taken to experience excellent and fresh gastronomic delights which included, pasta, cappuccino, an Italian dessert, a pizza slice, a meatball sub, and fresh mozzarella. Walking with him through the streets of Greenwich Village on a gorgeous day and through Washington Square Park where we met a skilled chess player friend of his and heard the melodic tones of some nice jazz made a perfect day of food tasting complete.
Greg’s upbeat personality and engaging conversation made this a fun day, and I strongly recommend this family friendly food tour. I will definitely make it a point to reserve one of his other tours the next time I am in NYC.

My two daughters and I had a wonderful time on our tour this morning with Greg. We began the tour at a beautiful local church. We happened upon the parish priest who shared a blessing and Greg shared his family connections and history. Throughout the yummy stops in SoHo and Greenwich village, we learned many tidbits and enjoyed the food and scenery along the way. Greg is an outgoing and kind-hearted New Yorker who shared his love of the city with us. I highly recommend the tour!!
