1. Gamat Bay
Gamat Bay Snorkeling Point is very beautiful and still natural, The place is not crowded by tourists is suitable for relaxing cooling down your mind. Gamat Bay has very clean sand, soft and colorful corals are so beautiful. This area is highly favored by local divers to see marine exotic sea. The current was fairly heavy, it is recommended only divers who have advanced some people do. There is a diverse group of corals and coral mounds, almost all area of seabed from sandy Gamat Bay. Charming natural scenery with the sea water is very clear, making the diver can not wait to infiltrate into it. You will not found dive sites like this again complete with rocks and steep slopes. There is another small cracks surrounded by a variety of marine fish, certainly adds to the charm of the place.
2. Crystal Bay
Crystal Bay is quite accessible thanks to well-developed roads, besides its beautiful palm-fringed beach, the bay is best known as one of Nusa Penida’s famous snorkelling and dive sites. Near the shore, the waves are swimmable during calmer tides with crystal-clear waters, hence its name. Divers praise the superb visibility, sometimes down to 30 metres. Crystal Bay is a short drive west from the Coco Resort Penida. This is one of the a very few resorts on the island’s western region. Down at the dark sand beach, you may find a couple of parasol-shaded sunbeds available for rent from locals.

Manta Point Snorkeling is so named as it’s one of the main dive sites in Bali where you can spot manta rays. These graceful rays are visible on almost every dives, along with spotted stingrays and nurse sharks. You can dive here all year round, however, the best time to go is usually between August and October, when visibility can be an excellent 20 metres deep. Most trips depart from the dive resorts on Nusa Lembongan, or from the coasts of Sanur and Padang Bai on the Bali mainland. The waters around Manta Point can get fairly cold, due to the open currents from the Indian Ocean. However, visibilty is often excellent here, allowing you to better explore and photograph the prolific marine life under the surface. Other sights to see here include occasional sea turtles, reef sharks, and the oceanic sunfish ormola-mola. At around 10 metres within the protected bay, mantas freely roam and feed in the plankton-rich waters while enjoying the symbiotic company of cleaner wrasses who rid their bodies of parasites.
4. Angel's Billabong
Angel's Billabong located nearby Pasih Uug (Broken Beach), another popular site with unique limestone formations. The naturally formed rock lagoon offers a scenic seascape. You can descend into its crystal-clear rock pools for a swim or a soak, but only during low tide. The rock pools are one of the must-sees for visitors to Nusa Penida. The island itself is famous for its beautiful cliffs and pristine coastlines. Both Angel's Billabong and Broken Beach are very popular sites here. However, you’ll most likely have this amazing natural infinity pool all to yourself on your visit. It’s a good idea to explore Broken Beach first nearby. Take in the splendour of its natural limestone arches over the blue waters. Then, head off to take a dip and perhaps a swim in the natural pools of Angel’s Billabong.
5. Pasih Uug Beach
Broken Beach spot is marked by a hilly arch-like rock formation, which is the distinguishable landmark of the area. Set over the crashing waves of the open Indian Ocean, Broken Beach is a great spot for travel photographers and panoramic view seekers. The adjacent area is also home to grey long-tailed macaques. If you’re lucky, you may spot silhouettes of giant mantas near the surface of the deep blue water.

Kelingking Beach you can enjoy the sweeping views from a purpose-built platform, which is bordered by bamboo fences. If you dare the challenging trek down to the beach, make sure it’s during low tide. Some sections of the path can be steep, requiring a bit of rock climbing, especially on the way back up. Locals have put rocks and bamboos to aid visitors over the years. Once you’ve reached the sand, you’ll have it all to yourself most of the time. Depending on tide conditions, the waters are swimmable. However, note that the undercurrents can be strong, and being the remote site that it is, there are no lifeguards around. Besides your camera and a good pair of shoes, be sure to bring drinking water with you on the descent, to keep you hydrated. You can combine your visit to Kelingking Beach with a visit to an interesting temple nearby.

The employees were verky kind, and the trip overall was fun and beautiful. Also the transfer from hotel to the snorkelling office were without problems.

I like the trips where you are charged with positive emotions but not exhausted by the end of the day. And that is the one. You are chauffeured to Sanur port by the driver where you board the fast boat to Nusa Penuda. Crew may let you to sit on the upper deck if you buy a drink (e.g. beer- 50 K rupiah). I advise that especially for taller people as seat space is quite tight:) in Nusa Penuda you are brought to the snorkelling outlet to deal with formalities and then board the boat with brings you to 4 snorkelling spots. The last two are the best (the last one has a bit of currents so beware- use life jackets if you are not fully confident ). I did not see manta rays, but corals and fish were amazing. After the snorkelling you can grab a drink or snack nearby and take a boat to the main Island. On the way back you can ask to stop in some places like silversmith or coffee producers to buy some gifts. The only thing I did not get was the pictures and videos taken under water.

We did have a wonderful day but feel for the money just a few little things are missing. Snorkelling is great and enjoyed that thoroughly but found the process of showers and toilets on return a little bit basic. Toilets have no toilet paper, hand wash and are filthy all for the cost of $5000ro. Everyone’s gets bearded into a very small outdoor area all together at one time to change and shower.
The other down turn was the restaurant. The food was disappointing to say the least. After cession the mainland and experience food provided on other tours in Bali we were a little surprised.
Our drivers both on the island and in Bali were amazing people. We got told all about the local customs and learned much about the area we travelled through.

The sights seen are truly beautiful and worth the hours trip. We have some amazing photo moments thanks to our island guide Budi. He was very accommodating and looked after us so well. As did our driver to the harbour Agung. This is the second time we have had Agung drive us in Bali and can’t say enough about him!!! He’s so warm and friendly and will bend over backwards trying to help you.
The only thing that really disappoints is the lunch which you are very much fanging for after a couple of hours snorkeling.
Unfortunately it’s very lacking and would go as far as saying it was the worst we have had in Bali. Caesar salad had lettuce, mayo and croutons and very little of it.

We did two separate tours (snorkeling & beach tour) and had a great experience. On both days, our reliable and nice driver Budi picked us up from the hotel in Bali. So we were picked up from the hotel, took the ferry to the island and from there continued by boat with our guide to various bays. Already from the boat we had a great view of the coast and the different bays. The team took great care for us and we did not have to worry about anything.

During the snorkeling tour, we first went to Manta Bay. Unfortunately, there were no manta rays there that day. However, we were lucky enough to be able to snorkel with dolphins. There were also lots of colorful fish and our guide took impressive underwater photos of us.

The second trip, we had a great time with our driver Robert who showed us around the island‘s best beaches. He also was very comforting and reliable.

Overall, all the staff were nice and helpful and contributed to great tours :)
