Northern Lights Midnight Adventure is a hunt for Iceland’s magical but elusive Northern Lights. Many visitors travel to Iceland to see the Northern Lights but don’t know where to look.
On this tour you travel in a comfortable, heated minibus while your guide searches for the best location to view the Northern Lights. Your guide will also explain the science of how the Northern Lights display occurs.
When or if the Northern Lights appear, your guide will offer to take photos for all participants, so you don’t have to bring a professional camera or be a professional photographer to join this tour. This tour is an ideal opportunity to get the most of your time in Iceland.
Northern Lights are natural phenomenon and sightings cannot be guaranteed.

Pickup and drop off were at nearby bus stops (our hotel was on Laugavegur Street and buses are prohibited from driving on it). I'm not sure if they still offer this, but one reason we went with Iceland Everywhere was because they said if you don't see the Northern Lights (NL) on the first night, you can try on another night. We took them up on the offer. The first night, there was a KP rating of just 2, so we weren't able to get a good view of the NL. The second night, the KP rating was a 3 and we were blessed with decent views. We had Thomas the first night and Siggi on the second night. Both were great drivers and seemed genuinely nice. The hot chocolate was a nice way to warm up (it was very cold). The vans/buses were comfortable and warm (a little too warm at one point, but they adjusted the heat without complaint). Even though I didn't need it, they offer tips for taking pictures of the NL. They also took pics of people with the NL in the background. A nice touch (see attached pic). Recommended.

Wow, they went above and beyond to find the lights. We stayed out until nearly 2 am to enjoy a spectacular display. They didn't rush. Their priority is to track the lights for you. So great! They also take high quality photos to share with you.

I picked this tour based on other Tripadvisor reviews and I'm so glad that I did. Siggi gets amazing reviews for a reason. From good communication prior to the tour, to the incredible knowledge he shared on the tour, then knowing exactly where to go to give us the best chance to see the lights and finally the hot chocolate We spoke to several people out on other tours on the same evening and they saw nothing. But with Siggi, we were successful and got some stunning photos. Another bucket list entry ticked off

Despite the bad weather, the tour went forward. I was nervous we wouldn’t see any lights but the guide was knowledgeable. I appreciate that he and his colleague found a good spot to see the lights!

Great tour - highly recommend. Pick up was great, we were given a specific time so we didn’t need to wait outside for too long with a 5 minute window either side. He was punctual and explained the tour clearly. The day we went, the weather was poor so he took us to a place he knew had clear sky (not the usual National Park location). When we arrived, he set up his camera and explained that we could have as many pictures included as we like. He took photos often. The lights were not particularly bright, but he explained the science behind them and how they are measured and predicted. As a cloud came in, he said we would move to another location, on the way there the lights came out very brightly (as he had predicted by watching the weather while we were out). He quickly found a pull over and we got out and saw the beautiful Aurora - great tour and guide!

Firstly, I’d like to say a massive thank you to Siggi our tour guide for our Northern Light’s chase. Me and my boyfriend attended on the 11th December. It was really wonderful. We didn’t see the brightest lights, but it was a really spectacular experience. I think I saw about 7 shooting stars! The sky was crystal clear, I’ve never seen so many stars. You could even see the haze from the Milky Way, along with the Andromeda Galaxy, and Jupiter. Siggi took professional pictures of everyone and sent them out for free. Overall, incredible.

This tour company is highly rated for a reason - Communication before the trip was as expected and we were contacted 6pm on the day of the tour to see if it would still go ahead. We were lucky to have the company’s owner as our guide for the tour. You could tell how passionate he was for the Northern Lights but also how much he cared for his customers to have a good experience! It was very cold as we went in December but he tried hard to keep the group going and made the waiting worthwhile. We were very lucky to be able to see the Northern Lights on our trip, even with it dancing above us in all its glory! He was flexible and constantly looked out for clear skies as we drove around and made two stops during our trip to ‘chase’ the lights. Our guide took professional photos of us and we got a copy of these at the end of the tour included which was a lovely gesture.

My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Our guide was super informative and very knowledgeable. He drove us to one location and we had a glimmer of lights but on the next location they were beautiful.
Memories made forever for my daughter and I.
Also my daughter left her hat on the tour bus and they very kindly dropped it back to our hotel the next day.

Siggy was our guide for the night
He was so knowledgeable about the lights and everything connected to them
I don’t think it was just down to luck that we saw them as we did, I put a lot of that down to Siggys knowledge.
What we saw was AMAZING! Definitely 100% recommended this trip to anyone.
We were picked up and dropped off as promised. No issues at all.
