My dad landed at Omaha Beach, second wave. A lot of his fellow soldiers were lost. He was captured by the Germans and remained a POW for six months until the war was over. It meant a lot to honor those who had fallen!

The trip was a disappointment largely because of the guide. He knew very little English, perhaps that’s why he imparted very little information about what we saw. He also messed up the lunch schedule so that we were herded to the back of the restaurant t a make shift area where both the quality of the food and service were poor, This resulted in an hours delay and we cut short our visit to the Juno beach to a few minutes. All in all, a sad disappointment particularly considering the historical significance of the place.

The sights were great, I just wish we had more time to explore them, and that our guide would have explained more information and also in a better manner. Honestly, much of the trip was that it seemed like it was the first time the bus driver and the guide had ever done this. They were fumbling around the entire time. From not understanding where to park the bus, to if the bus could cross the bridge to the final site. The guide was reading from papers and it didn't seem like he was prepared. The guide didn't seem interested in the topic. We only had 15 minutes for some areas and it was only enough time to get off the bus, use the restroom and look around VERY briefly.

They were very nice, however. Both the bus driver and the guide were very polite, I just don't think they were prepared for the tour.

This full-day tour was well worth the time spent away from Paris while on our vacation. Our guide was knowledgeable and informative, with endless information about the Normandy area and the D-day invasion, as well as the history of the areas we drove through along the way. He communicated well about what to expect throughout the day with regards to planned stops for seeing specific sites, our lunch break, and bathroom breaks.

A great tour of Normandy Beaches & the Normandy American Cemetery! Our guide was friendly and very knowledgeable, both about D Day and the Cemetery, pointing out important sites & educating on various important details. He kept the group on schedule without feeling rushed. Our driver was excellent! The best driver in western Europe. 😊
