We pre-booked a night hike that we ended up doing with Gabriel. He was an AMAZING guide and we absolutely loved our experience so much. We saw spiders, frogs, snakes, and a sloth during our night hike! Gabriel was so nice, extremely knowledgable, and helped us not only see everything but also learn too. We came away with a great experience and learned a lot. And, we loved it SO much, that we booked a day tour and visited for a second time on our trip! We also loved Marianna, who was an incredible tour guide too. She was also knowledgeable and so kind! I absolutely recommend doing both the night and day tours if you can! The wildlife we saw during the day was so different - including birds, snakes and spider monkeys! Let me tell you - if we were not with our tour guides we would NOT have seen any of the animals right next to us. It truly takes an expert to spot and these guided tours are worth every penny.

We took the night tour on a very rainy night & it was fabulous! Our guide, Bernardo, was knowledgable and friendly. My husband had forgotten an important item & the staff went above & beyond to make sure he could still join the tour. In spite of the downpour, we saw many insects, spiders, lizards, tarantulas, an anteater, beautiful tree frogs, and nocturnal birds, along with unusual tropical rainforest plants. I DID NOT like going across the 2 hanging bridges, but Bernardo and the rest of the group were very patient with me and my slow shaky steps. I survived :) ! (The rest of the bridges were very solid.) Make sure to take a raincoat, closed-toe shoes and long pants. A billed cap would have been handy to help keep the rain off my glasses. The night tour is well worth it, and bravo to Bernardo!

My husband and I were able to have a private tour since the other group didn’t come. We had a great time. Carlos was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. We saw a variety of animals and insects. It was also fun to go across the hanging bridges in the dark. Highly recommend!

Guide was great with our group. We went right after a massive rainstorm. The guide also took a bunch of photos and airdropped them to everyone after. He was a very good photographer on top of that too. Highly recommend.

Our tour guide Gabrielle was terrific. It was just my daughter and I on this tour with the guide and we had a terrific time. Gabrielle has great knowledge of the forest at night. We saw frogs, eyelash viper, toucan as we head into the forest, spiders, ants and a spider monkey along with lots of others nocturnal animals and insects.

The sounds in the forest were amazing at night and had a wonderful time…even though we were very nervous to do a night tour.

We did not visit during their regular hours. This review is for the night walk tour only.

I highly recommend this tour especially if you have teens. We saw things we wouldn’t have seen otherwise. Highlights were red eye tree frogs, glass frog and mask frogs. We also saw a jumping pit viper, lots of different spiders, scorpions, and bugs. Watching an orb spider catch things in its web was fascinating. There was a point where we turned off lights and just listened to the sounds of the jungle at night. Very cool. Our guide, Andres, was very knowledgeable and kind and we felt very safe. Each group that booked had their own tour guide, which I wasn’t expecting. They kept the groups very small, which was nice.

If you have little kids, the night tour might be a little scary for them unless they are way into spiders, lizards, snakes and frogs. But my teenagers loved it. And I t’s one of the few things to do in the evening so it was a good use of time (I think we were there around 5:30-7:30 or somewhere around there).

It was nice seeing the nocturnal life but it was pouring rain so there wasn’t much to see and after an hour, it was uncomfortable though we had dressed for the weather with ponchos and waterproof shoes. Maybe some tours shouldn’t go forward in the rain?

Super, super cool. Our guide, Gabriel, was knowledgable, enthusiastic, and clearly passionate about the nature we were seeing. We got to see some very rare and venomous snakes, which was SO cool!

Extremely different wildlife at night, so we were very glad to be able to see such cool nature!

The *only* small quibble I had with the experience was that the park itself provided some fairly shoddy flashlights, both to us and to Gabriel. Luckily, there was one super bright one that let us see all the good stuff, but I do wish I'd had a better flashlight.

Definitely catch this if you're a nature lover!
