There is loud music everywhere.

The only downside is that there are few places to sit when eating.

There are also restaurants that serve the popular shrimp dishes.

I think it is a relatively clean night market, so it was comfortable.

This place should be renamed, "Welcome To China". I was taken to this place by a 'Withlocals' guide who was selling this as a hidden eating place in Bangkok. Hidden my ARSE!

If you are looking to eat authentic local Thai street food, then this is the last place on earth you should go to. The market seems to be owned and run by some franchise operation catering to the needs of Chinese tourists. I was the only non Chinese person there as a customer one the night I visited the place.

Most of the stalls, although I'm not really sure you can claim these are market stalls in the true sense of the word, sell various types of seafood which is then smeared liberally all over the face, hands and upper body of the diners.

Given how much food is on display, there must be an appalling amount of waste every night. I hope for the sake of everyone's health that they are not re-freezing it and selling it the next day.

I had some fried pork and rice at one of the very few places that sold Thai food, and ended up leaving most of it. It was pretty much tasteless rubber served up at blood temperature.

Should you go there? If you are a Chinese person, then go ahead, knock your pipe out, the place is made for you. Testament to this was the line of about 12 tour buses on the street being offloaded with Chinese tourists.

BUT, if you are not Chinese, and you want some real Thai street food, then go anywhere that is not this place. You will not find anything even remotely authentic here.

Now I am left with the dilemma of whether I should demand my money back from 'Withlocals' for blatant false advertising.

Just another night market but a more organized one. Phra Ram 9 MRT Station, exit 2, enter the Central Plaza mall, go to *level 2 or 3* (can't remember which level) exit through side door & u can see the night market. 2 minutes walk. U will see a lot of tourists in the mall searching for the side door at 1st level which is wrong. Kinda confusing. Even when I asked the security guard, they point me the wrong way.

Sensation overload. Great market stalls for clothing and the food is something else to die for. I could happily live in Bangkok (it’s the most amazing city ever) and live every night in Jodds

Very small and nothing much. Mainly food stall and manicure stall. If rains, do wear slippers, as many walk way flood due to uneven path.

Plenty of food choices at this night market compared to shopping. Go on an empty stomach so you can try out the varieties of food options here. Very crowded even on a weekday night. Right next to the market, there's also a mall.

We had a GREAT experience with Kitty. She was very knowledgeable and personable. She was able to answer all of our questions and show us things we never saw before. Thanks again! I pray Kitty finds a rich husband so she won’t have to work sooooo hard. LOL!!!

I'm so glad we booked this tour. Our tour guide Mayuri was so informative and help streamline the whole experience. The market is jammed packed with people. It can be total sensory overload but having a guide just helped ease the craziness. She took us to the place where we were able to take an area photo of the whole market. That picture alone is worth the tour. It is always helpful for someone to speak the language to help negotiate prices. Come to the market hungry. So many good food from river prawns to grilled meats to fresh fruits. Even fried insects for those who are adventurous. There are also sit down restaurants and bars for those who don't want to walk and eat. The market also have tons of souvenirs and some original stuff as well. Lastly she helped us hail a taxi to get home which that alone can be overwhelming. We were not staying in the surrounding area. Sure you can do this tour alone but having a guide was so much more worth the experience.
