What a great and enlightening tour. Benjamin, a native of New Orleans, was very knowledgeable of the city and history. Ben's anecdotes truely captured the spirit of the city and made the history come alive. We learned so much and stayed entertained throughout the whole tour. I would recommend this tour to anyone. Our tour with Ben was the perfect orientation to New Orleans. We opted for a Private City Tour, with the Option 1 (Plantation) add on. Company co-owner Cyd made the planning process easy by quickly providing carefully-worded, thorough responses to our questions ahead of our trip. During our tour, with Ben driving, we were free to focus on the beauty of the city -- and the wealth of historical information he provided -- without having to worry about the logistics of getting from point A to point B. The tour gave us glimpses of the city that we wouldn't have been able to discover on foot, and enabled us to better decide where to focus the remainder of our time.
Since our party included only two people, we were able to ask more questions than would be permitted in a larger group. I particularly appreciated Ben's recommendations for books and his responses to my many questions about local restaurants. We found Ben to be very polite, articulate, and fun to spend time with. He speaks with the level of detail and confidence of someone who knows the area extremely well and has been doing this for a while. His passion for New Orleans and its history is especially evident while discussing its cemeteries. We marveled at his speaking abilities, even as he navigated New Orleans' chaotic streets.
Our experience was so enjoyable that my partner decided to book a Private Airboat Tour later in the week. He returned with very nice photos and video footage of nearby swampland and its wildlife, including several alligators.
We certainly recommend booking a tour with La Vie!

It rained all morning and some roads were flooded but we still learned so much about the history of New Orleans. Visited all the neighborhoods and a couple of cemeteries. We stopped for coffee and beignets. The driver was very knowledgeable and the car was very comfortable. He provided water for us.

There was 6 of us on the NOLA city tour. Benjamin knowledge and personality made the tour memorable. He answered any questions we had, which is a lot with 6 women! We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and highly recommend with Benjamin!

Our days in New Orleans were few so we chose a tour that would give us a thorough snapshot of the city. LA VIE NOUVELLE ORLEANS was the perfect tour for us. In 3.5-4 hours we visited all the sights we wanted to see and our “native” guide enriched our understanding of the New Orleans culture.

I lived in New Orleans some years back and was amazed by the things I learned. Easy booking, flawless pickup, super gracious...absolutely the highlight of our visit.

This was a great tour & gave us a fantastic overview of New Orleans & its history. Our guide was so knowledgeable & relatable. You don’t get out of the car except for a coffee potty break but we covered so much ground that was ok. He did stop & get us great views while he would provide interesting facts & information on what we were looking at. Everything from people, architecture, food & everything in between was covered.
One of the best parts was the recommendation's he provided for the rest of our trip. LOVED this tour.
