This New Orleans Historic Garden District Walking Tour highlights the American settlement and their beautiful homes, gardens, wealth and how life was changed because of their amazing contributions. This multifaceted tour includes the unique history of our incredible city, culture, and architecture. The Americans early settlements, lavish lifestyles and immense wealth are obvious as we walk through this opulent and super astonishing neighborhood.
Our Tour begins outside of the gates of Lafayette Cemetery #1, as you learn of the basic burial information and customs and discuss why New Orleans cemeteries are so unique (NOTE: PUBLIC ACCESS IS NOT ALLOWED IN THIS CEMETERY) We then walk around the neighborhood where you'll see the architectural styles of the Americans. You will see celebrity homes, perfectly manicured landscapes and movie hotspots as well. Walk with a local, see it through our eyes!

Harris was such an informative tour guide! We loved him immediately. Funny, and thorough. Very thoughtful as well, with advice for after our walk.

Leisurely, informative, and Harris is da bomb!
He was very articulate and we learned so much about the Garden District history, a little bit of basics about New Orleans history, and how they fit together like a cool puzzle.

Angie is an incredible and knowledgeable local host. In a little over two hours, my wife and I learned about the history of the Garden District, the varied architectural styles throughout the neighborhood and a few celebrity homes along the route also pointing out the different flora along the way. Our Angie is enthusiastic and incredibly passionate about NOLA and Louisiana as a whole. We also talked a little about Lafayette Cemetery #1 (closed for "renovations" since 2017, so we were only able to peer in through the gates). Bring comfortable shoes and water (can get hot - it's New Orleans, after all).
10/10 would recommend!

We took the Garden District tour with our guise Angie on May 13, 2024. There were 11 guests total. Angie was funny, professional and very informative. The cemetery is closed, but she still provided a lot of great information. I suggest you wear comfortable walking shoes. Highly recommend this tour.
