Spot alligators, snakes, turtles, egrets and herons as you take a fast, fun ride over a tidewater cypress swamp close to Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and Preserve. Admire moss-covered cypress and tupelo-gum trees as you explore bayous teeming with life and take advantage of incredible photo ops.
Th premium small-group tour is limited to 6 people, regular small airboat (up to 10 people) or large airboat (up to 30 people) to allow for better views of the wildlife.
Please note: If you book the self-drive option you will not receive hotel pickup. If you book the option with pickup, pickups will begin 1 hour and 15 minutes prior to tour time.

Other than the Mardi Gras parties this was the best thing we did in New Orleans. We had an awesome guide and we saw so much wildlife and swamps. Very cool. I would recommend it to anyone!

We enjoyed the wild life along the way, snakes, abundance of alligators large and small, bald eagles nest, owl and various species of birds. We enjoyed the boat ride and although loud from the engine (noise expected / we were supplied earmuffs) in a unique way it was very relaxing and humbling to be amongst nature in its raw form. The guide was very informative and funny. We had a great time ! All the staff we encountered were friendly. The photos available at the end were humorous and Priced Fair!

The kids loved asking questions of the tour guide. We saw at least 13 gators. It was a beautiful winter day and the gators were out sunbathing.

Excellent tour. We so appreciated our guide Jay and his knowledge, honesty and experience as a local who has grown up and remained in the area throughout his lifetime. The gators and other wildlife as well as the exposure to a landscape like nothing we’ve experienced before was exactly the experience we wanted outside of the city. Jay really made the tour with his humour and his candidness about the realities of the area it did feel like we were visiting with a new found friend while learning about the very unique ecosystems that exist here. Thank-you for your authenticity and sharing a part of your beloved bayou with us!

We booked on a 10-person airboat ride, and it was fantastic. The smaller boats are a thrill a minute as you speed around the bayou. The small boats also get you closer to the shoreline to observe the wildlife and t this just allows you to get to see more wildlife. We had a nice sunny day, and the gators were out sunning themselves in the shallows of the marshes. There was some fantastic wildlife on display, and the marshes and bogs of Bayou Barataria beautiful.

Paid too much for a pontoon tour that was constantly being interrupted by 12 other loud talking young men acting like boys who would not follow directions. Serving them beer added to the problem. Saw only 3 alligators and the rest was just a boat ride.
