This was a fantastic tour. We decided to splurge and do the tour with everything included (tickets , snacks and drinks) and we are so pleased that we did. Having a smaller group and a comfortable coach made the journey worthwhile. Monika was very informative and interesting with her commentary and each of the stops were well timed, we walked up the hill and back down at the end of the tour of the castle, but be aware that it is a long walk up a steep road, so if you would prefer to catch the shuttle bus or horse and cart to save your legs, it will be a long wait and at an extra cost. Also arrive at the stop early if you wish to be seated together. The tour states to arrive at least 20min early. We were 35 min early and the bus was almost full! We also left earlier than scheduled since the group were all accounted for and ready. So pleased that we did this tour. It was an unforgettable experience that was well run. Thank you to our driver and Monika for a fabulous day!

We had an amazing time! We saw so many beautiful sites, our tour guide Monica was very knowledgeable and kind, and the bus was very comfortable and clean. Would absolutely recommend.

This tour was absolutely incredible and the sites were stunning!
Annette was a kind, warm and very knowledgeable guide, who really made the whole experience for us. She kept us informed of what was happening without being too much, and made sure we had everything we needed and knew where everything was for each place we went to. The bus was very comfortable and our driver Senad made us a coffee in the morning, and welcomed us back to the bus at the end of the day with a cold beer.
Honestly couldn’t have hoped for better and would definitely recommend.

We chose the premium smaller group tour and really enjoyed it. The tour took us to Linderhof Palace, a short stop in Oberammergau; a cute little town and then on to Neuschwanstein Castle where we had plenty of time to get lunch and then to explore the town and castle grounds. The bus was very comfortable and offered coffee, water and a variety of snacks during the drive there and back which was nice. Our driver was great and our guide Monika was very attentive and knowledgeable on the sites we visited and kept us entertained with her stories about German history and culture. I would definitely recommend this tour while visiting Munich.

This was a very memorable experience. From the moment we arrived at the meeting location, through the entire day and up to the return to Munich. Our tour guide, Ursula, was excellent. She provided historic background in great yet easy manner. The driver of the tour bus was just as personable. Getting our tickets and then doing the actual castle tours was made very easy. Two thumbs up????.

Tour was excellent, both the bus driver and guide were fantastic and the guide told us a lot on the history of the castles and some funny stories along the way and also gave us recommendations on cafes and restaurants at stops.
The amount of people on this bus tour was a good size and it was great having some single window seats, coffee and lots of snacks on board and was even offered a beer on the return journey home which was a nice surprise.
The only thing that would have been better if we could have known the exact time of our tour slot was for entering the castle when we arrived. As could have spent another 45 minutes to an hour down in the little town or even get to visit the other castle there. It was very cold in December at the top just waiting around for entry and nowhere to go to keep warm but don’t know if getting the tour ticket times allocated to them is out of their control.

Positive - Tour guide and driver were excellent. Appreciate the snacks and drinks on the coach. Love the gelato recommended by the tour guide. Glad to have English guided tour of the castle. The castle was beautiful with the autumn foliage. Appreciated the beer!
Negative - the castle tour was unfortunately late afternoon at 3:45 pm which makes us rush like mad and run down the hill to catch the coach back. It would have been better if our castle tour was earlier timing.

Excellent day trip to the Bavarian Alps to see two magnificent castles. Our guide Adrian made it extra special with his story telling about Mad King Ludwig and general historical knowledge. The premium experience was top notch - comfortable ride, snacks, drinks, and big windows with a beautiful view. Definitely recommend
