We opted for a private tour to try to maximize all we could see in our brief time in Australia, and this tour did not disappoint! Our tour guide, Georgia, was such a doll and she catered the experience to exactly what we were looking for (even going above and beyond to take us to spots where we could buy some of the things we needed for our continued travels!). We experienced everything we wanted from wildlife up close and personal, to a bush walk to a glorious spot with an amazing view, and some gorgeous seaside beaches and vistas that couldn’t be beat! Thank you for showing us the best of Australia in a day!

Fantastic! By far one of the best day tours we have ever done! Matt was a wonderful guide and host. Very knowledgeable, super kind, provided lots of fun. We saw things we would not have seen our own! This was the trip that made our holiday in Sydney. We spent five days there and had seen most of the usual sights, blue mountains, opera house, cruise harbour etc. But this trip showed us the real Sydney and beyond. Firstly our guide Matt was a thorough gentleman but he is so professional. He is a wonderful peoples person. He made us so comfortable and took us to places we never dreamt of. He knew all of the bird calls and so we got to see so many different types. Because he knew we loved the ocean he took us swimming on Avoca beach where we had such fun with the surf. We had a visit to a kangaroo sanctuary that made Jurassic Park look like a Teddy bears picnic. Such fun. He made our enjoyment, safety and comfort his number one priority. He had unending knowledge and stories about each place we visited. His sense of humour was infectious and his sense of adventure even more so. Nothing was too much trouble for him and he went out of his way to meet all of our wishes. The 10 hour trip took 11 hours as he knew we hadn't booked anywhere for dinner and so weren't in a rush back, plus he had one very special extra thing to show us. I won't spoil the secret by saying what it was.
I left my prescription sunglasses in his car and he texted me to tell me and drove back (1&1/2 hours) just to return them to me.
If you are visiting Sydney I would strongly advise you to contact Matt and take this tour. It was incredible and very special but not half as special as Matt. He was wonderful. Thank you Matt from Neasa and Mark in Ireland.

After coming off a 17 day cruise with stops in many ports, I can say that our day with Georgia and Matt was the highlight of our entire vacation! Only with them did we get to experience the Australia we wanted to see...koala and kangaroos, beautiful scenic views and walks, aboriginal drawings, hidden gems that only locals see, a very cool area with lots of bats, and more. We saw and learned about local flora and how plants can be used in many ways (I'm remembering wattle, banksia and grass trees in particular!). We were lucky to have both as guides and either are recommended singly as both are very knowledgeable, flexible and able to tailor the day to your interests. We particularly wanted to experience nature and wildlife and that's what we got! We very highly recommend this tour whether you have one or several days in Sydney.

We are so happy with our decision to book this tour. We were looking to see more than just Sydney. Matt is an expert on the history of Australia including its indigenous
people, the Bush, animals and cities. If you want to get off the beaten path and follow a road less travelled, DO NOT hesitate to spent the day with Matt. And he is a delightful person to send the day with!

Matt led us on a walk through nature pointing out local fauna and flora. We discussed how the indigenous peoples used to use these different plants. We saw an ancient indiginous rock carving. We then went to a wildlife rescue park where we saw Kangaroos, Wallabies, Emus, Koalas and many others. It was fabulous. Most were in caged, and we got to pet several including a soft Koala. This was the highlight of our trip. But there was more… we had a great lunch overlooking Avonca beach and later enjoyed a glass of white wine while watching the waves crash over the rocks below. Matt was kind and personable. By the end of the tour it felt as if we were with a friend. I highly recommend this tour experience. It is different than most, more personal and Matt modifies it to fit your interests (eg. he took us on a small side trip to see a colony of fruit bats… so cool for us). One of our top experiences of our trip to New Zealand and Australia.

He is a true native Aussie with a huge knowledge of the land, hidden vistas, surprise animal sightings, breathtaking landscapes that only a handful of locals know about and he happily shares these with you in an engaging, fun environment. He will take the time to answer questions and explain the rich history of Australia. He will travel at your pace and even make extra stops of things that you have special interests in.
