Very disorganised at the beginning but not the tour guides fault. Bus broke down. Delays getting started

We had a terrible experience with the tour company! No designated pick up area. We waited almost 45 minutes for a bus in the sun.
Once we got to Pompeii, we waited another 30 minutes for people to use the bathroom and the guides to get organized.
The tour itself was very slow moving and we wound up leaving to tour in our own and not waste any more time.
They also had 2 tour guides and split the group up, but sent 2 families with one guide, and the remaining 30 with another which made absolutely no sense. So we were stuck in a huge group waiting for everyone to use the bathroom and take pictures.
We overall wasted a 1.5-2 hrs just standing around waiting when we should have been in the city seeing the sites.
Many of the group left to do their own thing, less than half of the participants stayed for the whole tour, which speaks to how bad it was.

The tour guide explained very well with good knowledge. Excellent experience even if it was very busy but the tour was brilliant.I will recommend it.

Patience is key as there a lot moving parts and time ia a mere tool and does not define the tour exactly. Pompeii is more about structural and cultural observation and not a death query. If you come for people buried in ash you will be disappointed.

Of the several Viator tours I booked, this was a true disappointment. We were not met at the cruise ship with the driver of the 8-person van holding a sign with our name on it, as we had been told to expect. . After 15-20 minutes, we found a 45 person bus parked down the street. We were in a large group touring Pompeii, could not hear well, nor could we easily ask questions. This is a Viator tour I will not recommend.

Pick and transport was excellent our guide was slow and spent too much time on each building. Consequently only able to cover part of of the site at Pompeii. We did leave the main party on venture of on our own to see more of the site. For the others it was disappointing that they missed out on so much.

The greatest part of Pompeii Ruins visit was during the inside tour guided by the English tourist guide and she was really nice and helpful.
