Taking into consideration the current weather and ocean conditions, your experienced Captain will use their discretion in planning the tour’s specific itinerary. Their aim is to show you as much as possible in the time we have, while always prioritizing your comfort and safety. Splashes can happen--bring a light jacket!

• Passenger Policy
• 1. This is an adventure. Ocean conditions can vary and may turn rough at times. It may not be suitable for some folks (all physically challenged individuals are subject to captain's discretion).
• 2. Not recommended for individuals who have or have had back problems, recent injuries or surgeries, or suffer from severe motion sickness (no refunds are given for sea sickness). Seasickness is best prevented with an over-the-counter remedy.
• 3. No expectant mothers.
• 4. Children must be 5 years or older.
• 5. All tour routes and destinations are subject to change without notice. Ocean conditions can and will sometimes turn rough. Snorkeling depends on ocean conditions.
• 6. Cancelled tours by Holo Holo Charters are fully refundable or gladly rescheduled.
• 7. "No Shows" or any cancellation within 24-hours of check-in time is subject to a 100% charge of the total fare including tax.
• 8. We are not responsible for lost, damaged or stolen items.
• 9. We reserve the right to refuse service.
• 10. Mobility aids such as canes, walkers, crutches, wheelchairs, etc. are not allowed on board.
• 11. We do not land on shore.
• 12. Non-swimmers are not allowed in the water.
• 13. Full-face snorkel masks are not allowed; guests are required to use traditional two-piece snorkel and mask sets.
• 14. If you do not have your prescribed medication with you, i.e. Inhalers, EpiPens, diabetic medication and/or any other daily medications, you must reschedule your tour for another day.
• 15. No smoking of any kind, including electronic cigarettes.
• 16. You should bring your own towels, sunscreen, a light jacket and camera. We will provide everything else.
• 17. All tours are "Bare-Foot". Passengers will remove their shoes prior to boarding. Only orthopedic/diabetic exceptions will be made at captain's direction.
• 18. In accordance with our liquor license, guests may not bring their own alcohol and IDs are required for age verification. Intoxicated guests will not be served and may be denied boarding. Alcohol will be served only after snorkeling on applicable tours.
• 19. No coolers or drones/unmanned aircraft allowed on-board.
• 20. Spray-on/aerosol sunscreen is a safety hazard and may not be used on-board the vessel.
• 21. Our vessels are equipped with sensitive marine heads (toilets) that clog easily. Do not flush anything other than what your body produces and the toilet paper we provide.
• 22. Please use Holo Holo parking lot only or your care will be towed.
• As a company that puts sustainability at the forefront of goals, we request you bring your own reusable water bottle with you on tour.
• No expectant mothers are permitted to join the tour

OMG! This is a must-see! I don’t think I’ve seen any landscape more beautiful! We loved the ride, crew and other passengers. Once in a lifetime no doubt. The sunset and views were amazing! Favorite part of the trip!

So many great things to say about our sunset cruise. We were a bit apprehensive in the hours before departure as it was really raining in Lihue and saw that there were 10-15ft swells near Na’Pali coast. Grateful that the captain (Jess) choose a new and much calmer route & surprised hat it was sunny for all 4 hours of our cruise! The crew is very kind & watchful- they played great music and were sure to check in to see if you need anything. The boat & bathrooms were very clean and food was very good, lots of choices & plenty for everyone. With the new route - the coastline was still beautiful and we saw lots of dolphins, turtles, goats and a humpback tail! Plenty of rainbows- very special! Thank you Holo- Captain Jess, Ahern & Hans for making our family outing (with 2 teenagers) a success. Note: we all did take Dramamine before departure, just in case.

We were all disappointed to find out we wouldn't actually be seeing the Na Pali Coast on the planned day, due to dangerous sailing conditions. Nature, eh? But, despite that, I went on the trip and we went around to the south side of the island and saw a few humpback whales at a distance, and we were delighted to be surrounded by a pod of spinner dolphins - and later some bottlenose, too! The boat trip itself was just impeccable. The crew was lovely and friendly. Drinks and snacks to start with, constantly checking in on how everyone was doing, a tasty meal, and the boat was immaculate!! It was a really, really beautiful experience. On my next trip to Hawaii, I am definitely going to take a charter with Holo Holo again!

This trip is worthwhile but remember the time of year you go does not always guarantee a trip up the coast.

Unfortunately, due to weather and high surf conditions, we were not able to sail the northside of the island at that time.

We did see dolphins, a turtle, and a humpback off in the distance.

The captain and crew were very accommodating and professional we had plenty of good food and drink.

We did have a good boating experience and did get the sunset photos as stated.

Overall I would book this tour again.

The boat really barely could accommodate all the people so it was crowded. The way up to the coast was incredibly rough. The captain never slowed down despite several people being violently seasick. It was difficult to even stand up. The cruise we took yesterday on Blue Dolphin was a better ship with more outside seating and not so fast so consequently not as rough despite winter big swells. All outside seating on holoholo resulted in getting soaked. Food was adequate but not appealing with people getting sick around you. Crew was kind and accommodating. Do not recommend.

We had a different expectation for a sunset dinner cruise. The captain raced up the coast at top speed against the waves, bouncing and drenching everyone sitting outside, slowed for a few minutes along the Na Pali coast, then top speed again as dinner was served on the way back, with a brief stop to watch the sun go down.
The seating options on this boat were not as good as on a similar (snorkeling) cruise we took with a different company two days before, and we found the crew of that other boat more helpful as well.

My boyfriend and I went in October 2023. We were lucky in that it was a calm day. I have been to Kauai several times and have never done this trip. It was amazing. Captain Dan and the crew were awesome.

Captain Glen was awesome! We traveled through big swells and he knew exactly what to do and how to navigate through the waves. Beautiful scenery and very knowledgeable. His mates were very helpful and friendly!
