This is a very small museum that I was hoping would give me a better appreciation of Graffiti, but it didn't. I read much of the presented content - found it mildly interesting but many of the "artist" stories were similar. Seemed very superficial in scope.
I wanted to understand the difference between tagging which I consider vandalism and graffiti, which I thought was more of an artform. There seems to be some elements of art/design but I left still thinking it's more about the tagger's ego and his attempt to cover the world with his multiple names or gang names. Not art at all. I was also disappointed that the museum made no attempt to explain the negative effects of graffiti. ie., they can make you very uncomfortable about your environment and the destruction/degrading on historical building. While the bathrooms were good examples of graffiti on steroids, had they been any other place, I would be very leery about entering and using them.

Wynwood runs the risk of becoming obsolete because the beautiful street art is damaged by tagging and graffiti along with every inch of surface; sidewalks, telephone poles, etc., now looks rundown and out of control. Its graffiti and tagging at its worst, especially if you had seen the area 5-8 years ago, when it was truly innovative.

I read nearly everything. It took me about 1/2 hour - indeed a tiny museum not really worth the expense to enter. However the gift shop is free to enter and amusing.

I had such an amazing time walking through the museum and learning the history behind the graffiti culture. I love art in all forms, but graffiti is very unique.

We had a wonderful time exploring the graffiti museum. The exhibits are very informative and take you through the artistic expression and history of graffiti. We also were fortunate to have a private graffiti class. Lexi helped us plan it and Ryan was our instructor. We sprayed on canvas outside and he went over different styles and techniques. My family loved it!

Miami has a number of wonderful art museums, This is not one of them, The museum itself is very small, about the size of someone's apartment and is only of interest in diehards of the study of the development of graffiti. You can seem better examples of the style in the streets throughout Wynwood for free,

I've waited for a while and today decided to see the Museum of Graffiti. I was very skeptical, but so pleased and engaged. The staff is very welcoming and shared information. The exhibits are well laid out, clear, and thoughtful. You cannot leave without gaining an appreciation for the graffiti and murals covering so many walls in Wynwood. If you're going to Wynwood, I'd put this attraction on your must-visit list. The gift shop has interesting stuff, too.

They have moved recently, so make sure the address is correct - it's just around the corner. The ticket might be pricey, but it's worth it. If you live in Miami and have a library card, you can get a pass!

We have never been there! We walked in and there was a man in the front which said hello to us. There was lots of people coming in and out. My son went straight in as he loves art. After being there for about 8 minutes more and more people walked in. Then a snobby snobby woman walks in I am guessing the own when I say rude she was so rude and moves a sign which was hiding on the side and said you need to pay 17 ti enter museum, like why didn't anyone say it when we first walked in. There were many people that walked in with us bc there was no one saying anything about entrance fee. My son was still in the back and she didn't let me get him at first. I told her I would run in and grab him and she said no I will get him. Like really?! That was too much we didn't know we had to pay to come in so chill. I told her I would get him bc he is autistic and will not go with her the museum is 1 minute walk around not big at all. When I asked her she looked at me as if I was trying to commit a crime. I only wanted to grab my son and go. Just really really bad vibes from this woman. I hope you learn to treat people with kindness if this is your business I said thank you to her and she rolled her eyes. Really mad me feel terrible.
